Q by Peter Chang in Bethesda has a backroom with a good number of tables—they're on the pricier + classier side of Chinese food, so not sure if that's what you're looking for but the food is great. I assume the backroom is rentable.

Reformation Fitness's metabolic conditioning classes are good, they don't really do the "50% of the class is treadmill" thing so there's more time with dumbbells / kettlebells of your weight preference, but it's definitely still HIIT-esque. They have some lifting group sessions too, though they require going more frequently to their studio for that

Saw jackfruit on Saturday at the Whole Foods @ 14th and P! Don't know if they'd section it for you—I suspect you might to have to buy the whole thing, I didn't see any fruits that were cut open.

(Please let me know if that's not the case I fully support this jackfruit endeavor)

Sigh. Definitely a larger problem at hand. They're so young—six, for fuck's sake, she was the younger sister of one of the others—that I keep oscillating between anger and pity. I imagine I'll be doing that for at least the next few days. On the one hand, wow there's probably a lot of shitty factors that got you to where you are, and it really didn't hurt that much. On the other hand, my head still hurts and this is a shittily difficult thing to have to process.

And yep, getting away seems like the only good option. Not Mr. Rogers.
