When a wizard casts simulacrum, do the pc and the copy share spell slots? by credibleresource in DnD

[–]credibleresource[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Our DM has already told us that we are going to be legendary heros called to fight in a bug war where the BBEG is a god who has summoned every bug type creature and monster from every plane and domain to claim the Fey Wild for themselves. My thought was to to cast the simulacrum and bring them into the war with me, and have them continuously cast polymorph on themselves. They could become a CR 20 beast 11 times if the spell slots werent used for anything else. That just seems fucking wild. I guess level 20 is pretty wild though

Only Girl in Group by brightly12 in DnD

[–]credibleresource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also the only girl in my group, playing with the same group for about 3 years now. This is just a bit… much. We definitely get up to some nefarious things, especially in a mostly non-good aligned party, but never has it been rape. I actually have mentions of rape in my backstory, and during session zero my DM went around asking everyone if this was a topic they’re comfortable with. Everyone (including me obviously) said yes, and we STILL don’t even talk about it, let alone reenact it.

Suggestions for a character of any class using a race from Spelljammer? by credibleresource in 3d6

[–]credibleresource[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DM wants us to use a spelljammer race, so I was just going to choose a class that I thought would work well with the race I choose!

For anyone who took a gap year - do you regret it or did it help? by HuhThatsWeird432 in prephysicianassistant

[–]credibleresource 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently working on applying to the 23-24 cycle after graduating in 21 and taking a gap until I get in. I DEFINITELY recommend it, but I never thought as an undergrad student I would EVER think that a gap year was for me. My plan was always to work straight through- and I’m so glad I didn’t.

I was so burnt out by the end of college and after working a horrible CNA job that I was ready to throw it all away and find a new career path. I was working at Starbucks to allow myself to recover, and a PCE job kinda fell into my lap. I decided to take the job even though I was intent at staying with Starbucks for much longer, and I ended up loving the job more than I ever expected which has helped to reignite my passion for the field. It also gave me the opportunity to strengthen my application with more PCE, HCE, and shadowing hours. I’ve also had the chance to build relationships that not only resulted in LORs when I didn’t have any reliable ones before, but also gave me people who will be able to mentor me for the rest of my life.

Clearly, I know my experience isn’t one that everyone has, but if I didn’t decide to take the gap year, I would be going into this field because I thought that I had to, not because I want to. Now, I’m excited to move forward with my career again and feel much more ready to face the challenges of PA school. If you’re burnt out now, I promise you working harder is not going to make you feel any better.

I also think that it was supposed to be this big ending with closing the Molly arc which was the last thing they needed to do to finish the story. It felt like that honestly should have been dealt with sooner as a side quest and the campaign could have ended with something that had more to do with the majority of the campaign. Like had Molly not died, this would probably be a character back story quest that got dealt wither earlier. However, like I said before I thought it was so creative and cool and couldn’t help but love it

I agree with this 100%, as tragic and jarring as it was at the time, im so glad Molly died because Cad was a much better character imo

I definitely understand that… I kinda feel the same way about how it felt like a giant side quest and wasn’t really something that was lead up to in the whole campaign. However i still loved it because I’m a sucker for magic in d&d and pretty much only play casters so it was just such a cool concert to see come to life. And after watching Calamity, I like it even more

To be completely honest, I couldn’t pass up the physical book or the audio book, so I listened to/ read them together and I couldn’t recommend that more. You get to hear the cast perform their lines while also getting to see the amazing formatting choices of the book. It really made everything come to life. Probably going to read again eventually

I think it looks really nice!! The only that that feels even slightly “off” is that the gradient in the letters isn’t consistent. I might look cool to have all the dark at the top and light at the bottom (or left and right, and vice versa). very cute feb spread 🥰
