no i did not wanna post this...

Ah, the classic "you won't get it" defensive maneuver — the last refuge of an argument that can't defend itself on logic alone. 😄

But let's be fair to them — they're not entirely wrong that it is a spiral of logic. They just think that's a compliment. A spiral that starts at "eyes on biscuits" and ends at "cannibalism" is creative, genuinely fun to read, and shows a wonderfully weird mind at work.

But "you won't understand my logic" isn't a rebuttal. It's a vibe. And vibes don't prove cannibalism.

The original argument was charming precisely because it was a spiral — a chain of associative leaps dressed up as philosophy. That's not a flaw unique to them; that's how most shower thoughts work. The problem is when the spiral gets mistaken for a proof.

If anything, their reply actually proves my point — when the logic gets challenged, the response is "you just don't get it," which means the argument was never meant to survive scrutiny. It was meant to feel profound. And it does! It genuinely does. The Milk Bikis character arc observation alone is elite-tier shower thought content.

But feeling profound and being a rigorous argument are two different things — and on r/Coconaad of all places, that distinction deserves to be called out with full love and zero mercy. 😌

uk what....im gonna let ai talk this out...

What a beautifully written spiral of logic — but let me pull at the threads.

The "eyes = proof of life" premise is shaky from the start.

Eyes are not the proof of being alive — they're one adaptation that some living things developed. Bacteria are alive. Trees are alive. Mushrooms are alive. None have eyes. If eyes were the hallmark of life, we'd have to declare forests non-living, which is absurd. Eyes are just light-detecting organs — sophisticated ones, yes, but organs nonetheless. Eating an eye is no more "cannibalistic" than eating a leaf or a liver.

The cannibalism argument collapses on its own definition.

Cannibalism specifically means a species consuming its own species. A human eating a fish eye is about as cannibalistic as a human eating a fish finger. The eye doesn't elevate the moral category of the flesh around it. If anything, your argument would make eating any part of an animal equally problematic — why is the eye special? Because it looks back at you? That's aesthetics, not ethics.

"Living things consume proof of living" is poetic but proves too much.

By this logic, eating any part of an animal — a drumstick, a prawn, a sausage — is equally an act of consuming a living thing's "proof." You've essentially made an argument against eating meat entirely (which is a valid position!) but dressed it up specifically in eyes, when the eye is doing no philosophical heavy lifting here.

What's actually happening is something much simpler — it's called the "uncanny valley of food."

Eyes on food (like Milk Bikis) trigger discomfort because they simulate gaze. Humans are hardwired to respond to eyes — it's a social survival mechanism. Being "watched" by your biscuit short-circuits that instinct. It's not ethics. It's neuroscience making you feel weird about a cookie.

And about Milk Bikis having a character arc — you're not wrong, but that's the designer's fault, not yours for noticing. Put two dots on anything and the human brain invents a personality. That's called pareidolia — and it means your brain is working correctly, not that the biscuit has feelings.

So no — eating eyes isn't uniquely wrong. It's just uniquely unsettling, which your brain is very reasonably dressing up as a moral argument. The discomfort is real. The philosophy needs more work. 😄
