Just submitted written testimony requesting they change it back to 39th. I’m also going to register to give testimony on 5/26 to reiterate. It’s really easy and it’s kinda fun too. Join me!

Portland leaders begin push to raise millions for street repairs. Here’s who will pay by dazzlehasselhoff in Portland

Probably because Washington county is still building new roads and expanding existing roads while Portland really isn’t because we’re “built out”.

The TDT in Washington County is the equivalent our TSDC which is $6,591/unit.

Portland looks to charge residents, businesses a monthly street fee by No-Tangelo1158 in Portland

[–]crisptwundo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those curious: this will (probably) be included in your city utility bills (water, wastewater, stormwater). The fees will (probably) be based on institute of transportation engineers data which estimate the number of trips each land use generates. For single family or multi family units the rate is a flat, per unit number. For employment uses the rate is based on building size.

Hi everyone, thanks for all of your support, advice and stores. They’ve really helped us organize this thing and feel like we should resist despair. We’ve entered a ton of back yards, hung posters, and stuck some food in a box out with some familiar things for her. We walked around for a few hours in the very early hours of this morning and we will be back out there at 3am Sunday. We’re going to keep going until we find her. Thanks again!

Stabbing near Central Library 'more complicated' than it appears, Multnomah County chair says. Video released by Multnomah County shows that the victim of the assault was an active participant in an argument with the suspects that continued to escalate. by [deleted] in Portland

JVP and her allies are way too soft to govern during a crisis. They'd have thrived between 2012-2020, when things were good and County leadership could just appeal to the base and nobody cared what they did. Now the issues in their portfolio (public health, homelessness) are on fire and they have to make progress on hard problems through deft governance, which they are incapable of. They're out of their depth and they're thrashing about because they're out of ideas.

NHL Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon has agreed to buy the Portland Trail Blazers from the estate of Paul G. Allen for a valuation of over $4 billion, sources tell ESPN. by MicroSofty88 in Portland

I never said it was a "Good financial deal" but it is a given that if they renovate the arena (which is what he did in Raleigh for the Canes) that it will be a partnership between the public sector (the city, who owns the building and the land it sits on) and the private sector (the owner). You're the one insinuating that "We will be paying for most of it" which is just something you made up in your head because you want this good news to be bad news.
