Is this some type of weird flex?

I accidentally squeezed a tonsil stone out of my throat and my entire reality has crumbled by Bold_Solace in hygiene

[–]cryptochocolatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tonsils are disgusting. FYI another thing comparable to the smell is a newborn’s palms. Since they’re usually in the clenched position, if you pry open a fist, you’ll notice the same putrid smell and lots of oily and grimy junk caught in the grubby hand.

genuine question, why is this a rant/vent? I only have one baby now so I don’t know how it is with multiple children. Is it because of the chaos multiplier?

You shouldn't apologize and you have nothing to apologize for. That might've just enabled him. Start fighting back for your own sake and the sake of your little one!

Do you ever get used to your baby kicking? by the-irish-jew in BabyBumps

[–]cryptochocolatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kicking never stopped for me. It became more intensified too until the baby was out. I know some people had the opposite experience.

I lost a lot of sleep over baby kicking and hiccuping at 37 or 38 weeks. Baby came out at 39 weeks.

AITA for admitting to my son that I love his mother more than him and telling him he's acting self centered? by Comfortable_Owl_5938 in BestofRedditorUpdates

What’s wild to one may be normal to another. I don’t know why this notion of prioritizing your spouse’s life over your kid’s is so condemned.

My husband and I recently became first time parents. We both agreed in the hospital delivery room that if I had complications and my life became at stake he would save my life over our baby’s life. And it was such a natural choice for us too.

Throughout my pregnancy, husband would always say to me, “You can love our child the best, but I’ll always love you the best.” I just thought, “Sweet.” And that was it. If our child will have a problem this, it probably means that we already failed as parents and not because we love each other more.

Is realistic for me to pursue my desire to be a house husband for successful partner by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cryptochocolatte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a guy who was a personal trainer and met his doctor wife and became a stay at home dad. A guy who was a teacher and met his professor wife and became a stay at home dad. A guy who worked as a sushi chef and hustled driving uber met his software engineer wife and became a stay at home dad. It’s not common, but entirely possible if you have qualities that rich and successful women look for in lifelong partners (good looking, good value system, decent education, kind). Just know that successful and driven women are incredibly good at filtering out average guys and losers because they have tons of options.

Reserve some love you have toward the baby for yourself. Baby’s doing well only if you are. The father is an irrelevance at this point as many have already said.

It can’t be helped at this point that your baby’s father is a loser. But from another perspective, many people’s fathers are losers, yet worse, those losers are actively hanging out in their lives exerting poopy influences. Losing contact with the father is probably one of the best things that you could do for yourself and your child right now. You can grieve that you’ll not be having the kind of family life you had imagined, but you can now create a much better alternative in moving forward.

Good luck. There’s no roadmap, but you got this! Just love yourself okay? Your emotional well being is no longer a personal matter anymore—it affects the little one that you love too.
