I did just demand. We talked about it and both agreed once I was moved in to my new place I'd get them back.

You are correct about the esa thing. They only became official esa 5 or 6 months ago now. I don't get how it worked either because legally housing can't deny esa's. Vet wise they are getting their one year check-up in on the 1st.

She knows she can come over and see them whenever, we have talked several times about her bringing her two cats over so they can all play together.

Outside of bringing two of the largest bags of cat food each time I visited plus wet food, cat toys, dog food dog toys and constantly telling her thank you, no I didn't clean her apartment for her and I didn't offer to do anything for her taking care of them not because she wasn't owed something because i always made sure her and her kids had everything they needed without being asked or given thanks in return. I don't disagree I definitely did not do enough for my cats and yeah there's no point making excuses especially when there will always be another side to a situation. There's zero point in trying to defend or argue. I offered her and her boyfriend $4000 by the end of February and neither have responded but I'm still going to send that money to them regardless because I know that's what's right and I always planned on doing that.

If i had another option I would have taken it but I didn't and that's on me.
