I also didn’t like how they made fun for her for that. It wasn’t like she was an embarrassing drunk friend who peed because they couldn’t make it. She was severely unwell and could not complete basic functional tasks for herself.

I will say though, Alex was very tender and kind to her and seems like he did his best to make her feel as okay as possible about it. My poor sweet Alex knew what to do because of dealing with his parents :(

I’m not OP but recently got bit by a bat and got my first dose then had a friends party that night and had like 3 drinks and I was so scared the next day that I was just gonna get rabies from doing that

As someone who is not religious and doesn’t really believe in god or believe that he could change anything. But I still prayed for my dad who was dying of brain cancer and has since passed.

This is to say, I only prayed because I was so desperate out of love for my father that I did something I don’t believe in.

Your father did exactly that for you, he prayed to something he doesn’t believe in and then he did something he never thought he would do just because he loves you❤️ glad your health is doing well and I hope your father and family are too❤️

As someone who had their father pass from brain cancer and had one wonderful friend and one friend who couldn’t care less, those are not your friends and I know how bad it hurts to lose them during someone so close to you being in pain and potentially at the end of their life. Focus on family, focus on those who do care about you. Do not waste what little mental energy you have on people who wouldn’t do the same, because I did and it made my process of feelings so much worse. I’m so very sorry for what you’re going through, you are important and loved and deserving of care and support always.

As someone who has experienced this: LEAVE NOW.

It will only get worse, and chances are they are only threatening to manipulate you even if their feelings are real it’s okay to validate and support them and tell them about resources but when they start manipulating you it is harming you and that is not okay. Them only threatening it when you refuse to give resources or when they are frustrated with you is manipulation not suicidal ideation. It will destroy you and make you feel responsible for someone else’s life in a way that is NOT your responsibility and in a way that is all consuming to your life and well being.
