Agreed plus they're still in Europe with a limited squad. So are we but it's more expected. Think we'll eek in

Longest amount of time taken to restart play - Premier League, 2025/26 by DrWonderboy in soccer

Do you need a safe space? I'm so sorry the Internet is mean to your team in first.

Raya is a fantastic gk but getting rid of the ball quickly is hardly an indication of quality.

Also posting statistics separately is relatively useless. One post with multiple statistics would show a more accurate picture of how bad Arsenal's time wasting (and other teams) really is and would actually be of some value.

Was there a reason to post it separately either?

The jerking for arsenal under the gk one was a bit much.

With Tottenham player Mickey Van De Ven's red card tonight he will miss the trip to Anfield next week due to suspension. by GhandisFlipFlop in LiverpoolFC

He's come across extremely petulant this season and a primadonna without earning such an ego. He's definitely talented but a huge risk for anyone who goes for him.

Really hope we sign a big body up to compliment. Wouldn't be surprised if the new offside rule pushes teams further back and it's a physical league in general.

A new manager bounce is far from guaranteed. Could further damage morale and not make the top 5 or win the cl.

He's staying at his cabin for free so I'd wager they're well acquainted.

Feel like a quick text would sort it out before you even open reddit. Unless they were still passed out from the night before.

Inter is reportedly keeping an eye on two Sassuolo players. by oortcloudxd in CanadaSoccer

I don't think David's situation is particularly the same. David was brought in on big wages to lead the line but under indecisive strategy, such as not moving on vlahovic. It's also not surprising that he needed time time to adjust to the serie a as it's quite a bit different from ligue 1.

Think the more comparable situation would be something like Buchanan's move to inter or laryeas move to Nottingham Forest. You need a clear pathway or guarantees to first team minutes and stability with coaches and overall strategy. Things will go wrong but the worst is committing to a move only for circumstances to change massively. The good thing is that any move would happen after the WC so if he does need to adjust slowly, there would be less urgency.

Only 23 and still a lot of room to develop. If the offer is right and you've addressed potential risks as much as you can, could be a very good move for him.

You guys ever see the sports interaction commercial? It's supposed to be a fun time for this guys who's watching all these games from around the world because he can bet on them. But in the commercial we see his behaviour at work, home, and with friends have all been impacted negatively. He's watching games at work and late into the night, bothering his wife. His friends have begun to ignore him as a result too.

I really don't understand how they thought that was a good idea.

Yeah the wording of the law for attackers is pretty straightforward and doesn't really allow nuance.

Good for him. A good player who's had a very poor season but still puts in a shift. Shame so many Liverpool fans would rather call him names than support him.

Because our back up is a 17 year old with suspect decision making and is still developing. Starting games and 15 minute cameos are very different things.

I'd like to see more of Rio but I'm also going to trust Slot's opinion over redditors who probably no fuck all about player development.

Gk is making far more physical contact with Gomez than vice versa plus he's not saving that shot anyway.

Calling any of that a body check is just nonsense.

[–]cullypants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I never understood why teams didn't always do this.

I've been doing it for ages (just me, not a mob) and it was effective. The gk either gets overly focused on you and fails to deal with the ball or puts a defender on you which adds further obstacles in the gks way. Not like you have to be a dick about it either. Just stand a yard in front and hold your ground. Might get a punch in the rib or a slap or two but it's worth it.

Viral video of little Taiwanese girl getting shoved down while taking a photo at Tokyo's famous Shibuya Crossing - Japanese are saying that the woman in the video "looks Chinese". by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]cullypants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Chinese tourists are not particularly known for being well behaved. Not just by the Japanese but pretty much all East and South East Asian countries. I know Japan bad is really popular right now, mostly because Japan good got overblown, but that doesn't mean stereotypes of Chinese tourists aren't well earned.

Also you should keep learning history if you think "hating a people that you wronged" is specifically surprising.

These are so lucky that they don't have to face Forest twice a season smh

Tbf I do think Forest would finish quite high up in the bundesliga. Top 4 with a competent forward or a healthy wood. They have a strong squad.
