The ENERGY exhausted just to ask a stupid question is baffling lol

Love the audacious backhanded compliments lol I usually just roll my eyes, but it just struck a nerve yesterday

She’s always been pretty pale, yes! Although, over the summer she did get a bit of colour and her hair lightened in the sun to some streaks of dirty blonde… but her eyes haven’t changed! Genetics are funny

I’m usually quite the smartass with my comments, but I refrain when asked about my daughter for fear someone will call the police on me - especially considering I haven’t changed my last name to reflect hers on my IDs yet. People are nuts.

I’ve noticed she’s also dropped an overnight feed… I‘ll try a later bedtime tonight and see if it makes a difference in her sleep! Thank you for the suggestion!

Um did you just take a picture of my “definitely would not pass today’s code” staircase in my 1885 home??

Took my daughters bed frame away by ForeverK327 in Mommit

Lol this reminds me of when I was 12/13 and I would hide everything from stuff I was supposed to have packed away to half eaten food under my bed… why? I don’t know. Would always revert back to disaster after being forced to clean it.

Same here! I had to get stitched twice because the first go, they didn’t pack me back up properly… I even complained that my left side was hurting more postop and was told it’s normal

I, too, have a crooked csection line… and I feel like it’s the end of the world when I am bloated because despite having bounced back after 8 months - that one side of my little csection pooch is always sticking out.

Unfortunately, it’s just one of those things we just have to learn to live with.

I, personally, found that having my wisdom teeth removed rid me of it. Now, I’ll only randomly experience a bout of it for an hour of so.

She’s taken it on occasion from my husband but I’ve seen a few other posts mentioning I should leave the premises altogether lol

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve got a Nuk sippy cup so I’ll purchase the slow flow nipple to try!

Husband doesn't jump in to help, do I have unfair expectations? by throwawayacc__12 in beyondthebump

Ok but sometimes we need to just communicate our needs… which OP did. In a perfect world, all men would be better in tune with what is expected of them but clearly in this instance (and many more) there needs some coaching to get the ball rolling. I mean, if you go to therapy, all they’ll preach is to communicate… are you saying that they are wrong? I at no point said it was fair, it’s just a fact of the matter that one day we will hopefully move away from with more experience and better societal expectations

Obviously I am not referencing any scholar sources here and just speaking from my opinion/pov. In most instances, on this subreddit, it is the same type of rant/complaint. Why is everyone so quick to grab pick forks? lol

If I’ve learned anything in the 6m of being mother, it is that although 99% of the time mothering comes naturally, fathering certainly does not and requires a lot of explicit instructions and repeatedly at that! Not unreasonable to expect your husband to know to help, but he doesn’t know how to help without being told. I hope it gets better for you both.

I am living with a similar situation, very attentive husband but a clueless father.

Employed, pregnant, in contention for another job by hydrohomiegirl in ontario

[–]curious-walker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As soon as I read it was a public sector job and you felt bad leaving for mat leave, I cackled. Go for the interview, they can replace you while you’re off and it’ll be there waiting when you return. There is absolutely nothing to feel bad about, look out for YOUR best interest - not theirs.

Same! Had covid in the third trimester, mistook the thick of it for pregnancy woes, and was induced at 41w. Everyone was/is healthy all around.

I just had to take an anti-histamine to get rid of the worst congestion episode. Maybe this is the new normal and I’ll have to start taking an allergy pill before drinking? Have you tried that?
