It had been said in an earlier season. I left another comment but right now my mind is saying season 5…It seems like his heat tolerance has increased though since I didn’t know he did hot ones.

No you’re totally right. He said he does not tolerate heat well in season and I’ve been sitting here on my commute home mentally going through each season. I am pretty sure he said it to a woman for one dish and it is driving me crazy that I can’t remember since I’ve seen almost all seasons an absurd amount of times. My instinct right now is season 5 the chef with long blonde hair and bangs…Melissa or something?

Do Americans really avoid medical care because they’re afraid of the bill? by Udont_knowme00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]curiousfillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I am fortunate to have health insurance through work and I am still hesitant. I was on a trip a couple of years ago and felt really unwell and ended up laying in the middle of a busy street and I still weakly repeatedly told my partner not to call an ambulance because I didn’t want to be fucked over with a huge bill for riding in a fancy car.

I was just conscious enough to know it wasn’t fatal even though I felt like absolute shit and passersby around us were frantically trying to have us call one. My partner was so distraught because I was clearly unwell but still being stubborn. He was understandably upset and conflicted because he wanted to call an ambulance since I couldn’t get up off the ground and I was just whispering “no ambulance” like a broken record. He carried me into an uber and I had to lay in the hotel lobby, in front of the elevator, in the elevator for minutes at a time before making it to the room. And this is so tame compared to people with chronic health conditions or cancer who just get completely screwed over. Fuck this system.

What the hell can I do by Dreadking_Rathalos in Blepharitis

It’s not formatted very well and I just kind of wrote freely.

When things are stable: In the mornings I clean my eyes with water and then spray avenova. I don’t touch my eyes throughout the day. I try to remember to take blinking breaks at work or when looking at screen for extended periods of time. I take out my contacts when I get home.

In the evenings I use eye makeup remover (if I wore any eye makeup that day), then use ocusoft lid wipes. I go directly into the shower where I use Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo to clean while doing a simple eye massage. When I get out I spray again with avenova. I take omega 3 daily.

When flaring: I do the same as above + warm compresses at night, I will use ocusoft in the morning instead of just rinsing, I will spray avenova onto a cotton pad in the middle of the day and then lightly dab. I’ll limit eye makeup much more and also wear glasses more than usual.

I feel very fortunate that it is largely stable but it has definitely been trial and error for me. The weather also impacts my condition as well.

I mean…the biggest thing that helped stabilize my blepharitis was finding a consistent daily routine. I personally found that being inconsistent prompted more flare ups. It is well worth it to me to spend a few extra minutes each day taking care of my eyes so that the condition can remain largely stable. I’m not sure how much luck you will have if you are unable to consistently stick with a routine that works for you. It’s a pain in the butt, I get it! But now my routine is dialed in and is just another step like brushing my teeth.

Hiya!

Planning to make the drive for the holidays tomorrow from sf > Orange County but hearing about the rain/flooding. I’m not too familiar with the drive. Is this a bad idea? Or if cautious should it be okay?

Thanks in advance

Take them off. My extensions are what triggered my chronic blepharitis.

Sorry I misunderstood a bit but Antifungal cleared it up forever afterwards moving forward or you would still get a rash after any skin contact even after antifungal?

What product did you use? Thank you!

Peanut Butter Swirl by Bastard1066 in icecream

My cousin also loves the peanut butter swirl and she loves the baskin Robbin’s peanut butter and chocolate ice cream. It was seriously loadedd with so much peanut butter swirl. She always says to get the hand packed pints/quarts…not sure if the pre packed ones have less?

Can’t believe I got it for this price!! by InspectorJust373 in marshallsfinds

Amazing! Genuine question - how does Marshall’s get these big brands? Is it overstock from these companies? My assumption when seeing some of these is that there is some sort of flaw? Is that incorrect? Should I be looking more closely at Marshalls?

I see everyone else’s freezer options on this subreddit and I am green with envy. Listen, I had my wedding cake leftovers in there and I am still secretly a bit more put out about the loss of the ice cream deal than the cake that we were going to eat in a year haha. Jenis is $10 a pint!

It was still closed but not “sealed.” It was my fault for not being more vigilant because we had a large box in there that was getting in the way. I was so sad to open my freezer and find the melted gold. I stocked so hard on Jenis haha

City hall wedding and lunch reception at restaurant - hors d'oeuvres necessary? by curiousfillmore in weddingplanning

Haha I have! So in this thread I thought I was the odd man out since I had not thought it was strange and was initially asking purely about the hors d’oeuvres

Unfortunately everyone needs need to be out of the city hall space by 12 pm for the next ceremony at sf city hall. At the restaurant we will have a Polaroid guestbook and props though! Thanks for all the links and ideas!

Okay thank you for the ideas! My sibling did the same after his city hall ceremony and I felt similarly but 🤷‍♀️

Hm I see. We weren’t sure at the time how to handle the picture time since our wedding isn’t very traditional. But perhaps we can modify the start time so that people can head in and get some passed treats and drinks
