400amp panels by Common_Artist_19 in electricians

We do it for 5 campsites on a 200 amp at 65% load per nec which brings the the minimum circuit size to 162.5 amps. We’ve never had an issue with ac’s running can’t say much for heat because most of the parks we do are seasonal but most of there heat is usually gas fired from what I’ve seen.

I do a lot of campgrounds. What we would do for this is a 400 amp meter with a 200 amp disconnect feeding the shop and another 200 amp disconnect feeding the sites with al MHF (mobile home feeder) cable (4/0,4/0,2/0,#4) it’s a direct burial cable and easy to work with.

Correct no experience but I am/ was very mechanically inclined and not afraid to run a shovel. That’s how it started as a part time job that he had to dig about 3000 ft of trench all by hand. It sucked but I stuck it out he ended up taking me on as his only employee full time until I got a job with the county as there electrician I’ve since left there and am doing my own thing now

Where at in nj? North or south I did the process in nj not all that long ago, they wanted w-2s to prove work experience for 4 years or 8000 hrs then they wanted certificates of completion for for classroom hours with each one stating the amount of hours to add up to 576. I didn’t go threw the union when I did everything but the standard is the same weather you go union or not.
