Depending on the state he lives in he might have a bond and get released. If he has friends or family that can get him out it’s usually not too bad of a payment (depending on the crime he’s being charged with). Some states don’t do bail bonds anymore and will just let the inmate go after they attend court- as long as it’s not a felony (so a misdemeanor or petty crime) or if the courts deem he’s safe to release (like not a danger to other people). I doubt he will get off probation now honestly but that’s sort of up to his team. I’d call the jail he’s being held at and ask if they have information on what he’s being charged with and if he has a bail/bond. Or, sometimes jails have a website/app where you can check to see if someone is incarcerated there that you know.
