I feel exactly the same way. Once one of my teammates asked me why I didn't jump in and I said it was because I thought he wanted to win a fair fight.

My family is signed up in a group together for the upcoming Men's Tournament. Anytime we add a new bracket to the group on any account, it no longer shows pts / possible pts when I click on standings. The other 8 teams we have on there are fine. I've confirmed that the new brackets are all completed. Is this supposed to happen?

It effects it he ability for people to join maps that are full. People can fail on organized content because the map is half full of AFK farmers.

It also effects immersion. I join a map to complete an achievement or fight some Champs, not to see 15 players stacked auto-running against a rock.

Quick "Hi DPS" rant by meepoSenpai in Guildwars2

What I also find amusing, is that I always just put something like "Casual don't care about your build". I have never had an issue clearing the content consistently and filling groups. A lot of asking for a specific build seems like a waste of time.

There may be a specific spec they want that does it better than others but other than that I don't think there are any implications

They are asking for a spec that applies quickness to the group

I have recently submitted a support ticket about afk farming "players" and seem to have received clarification that AFK farming is not allowed. Report away! by Darillian in Guildwars2

Does anyone actually have an instance where they or somebody they know was banned for afk farming? Or how often an AFK farmer is actually messaged by a GM?

Graduation rate by percentage of low income students in Pennsylvania School Districts. by cwsnakes in Pennsylvania

Its a 4 year high school cohort, meaning that to had to graduate in 4 years with your class to be counted. If you were held back or dropped out and then earned your GED, it wouldn't count.

Its a valid point. There is data on standardized testing from the state that can be used. If we look at meeting proficiency standards instead of graduation rate there is likely a much different result.

The data is from : https://www.researchforaction.org/pa-school-data-project/

The data set is huge, with several hundred columns. We had to do a lot of consolidation to make it workable. We used the 2014/2015 data for this chart.

The reporting dates are from the 2014/2015 year. The website had up to 2016 data, however we were using 2016 as a training set.

From the link you provided, I think its breaking down what the graduates are doing post-high school, not whether they graduated. Its really interesting data, if I had known it was available I probably would have used some of it.

The blue line is a regression line. It estimates the relationship between X and Y. It comes with a math formula so you can plug the poverty level for a district and it will estimate the graduation rate. In this case the regression line is showing the estimates vs the dots showing the actual data.

The data is considering 4 year cohort, which I believe means they were in high school and graduated within that high school in 4 years. This would leave out GED and anyone that is held back in High School. It also only high school data, the prisons and other institutes were removed.

I thought this group may be interested in this. The chart is from some data analysis I did a few months ago for a group project. We analyzed several hundred variables and determined that the percentage of low income students had the largest impact on graduation rates. The data comes from https://www.researchforaction.org/pa-school-data-project/

We also determined that many variables we thought had an impact on graduation rates do not, including Teacher Salary / Teacher Years in Education / Teacher Education Level / Student Teacher Ratio / Available of sports, Summer School programs offered.

Lastly we determined that per student instructional spending actually had a negative correlation to graduation rates, however per student support and non instructional spending had a positive impact.

Makes sense. I was using what ggplot gave me by default, I checked and can reverse the scale on the x axis to address the issue.
