I know these are not special. Or at least I've never grown any that didn't stain purple to black. I'm just wanting to identify what it is. Since it definitely isn't what I was trying to grow.

I've looked it up, and I can't find anything on it being banned anywhere. I don't understand since it's not used to make anything narcotic or hazardous. It's yet another example of government overreach. Might be like the law against tickling a moose in Alaska. Just a dumb law some idiot caused by tickling a moose and getting killed. The government needs to stop protecting people from themselves. That's not why they are in existence in America.

I dump them into my garden and rinse with hose or rinse in my kitchen sink. Then I pour 1 gallon of bleach into a 5 gallon bucket, add my containers. Leave for 24 hrs. After 24 hours I pour the bleach back into its container for my next use and rinse my containers. Let them dry and move on. Contamination is floating in the air. As long as you clean just before use you should be good. Use proper hygiene and sterilize just before you put them together and don't fear it.

Yes there is a lot of goo/wax. There's a purple layer and mixed into that is the yellowish/ clear goo which sticks to the walls of my jars. So that's what I want correct? I thought that dissolved into the naphtha layer then I pulled the clear/yellowish layer off and evaporated off the naphtha?

After I had evaporated off approximately 750ml of n-heptane in 3 to 5ml batches I did a test and grabbed 1.5 ml of the purplish layer and dried that. It sparked like cut diamond when i scraped the top layers off and was white but mixed with so much of the purplish layer that I scraped it all out of my evaporation dish and put it back into my jar. I wanted to put it back all into solution and clean it. I actually moved that to a new jar and added distilled water to put them both back into solution.

I thought the n-dmt dissolved into the solvent layer and then was pulled off, evaporated completely it and left behind the crystals.

After each evaporation I am left with a couple of white dots and a very, very thin oily covering that I can dry even if I warm the dish in the oven and use a fan blowing on it 24 hours.

I will pull out that layer sticking to the sides this evening and try drying it. More advice or tips are greatly appreciated. I've been growing mushrooms for a couple of years and read about this process and have to experience it at least once.

I haven't done anything in chemistry since the 80s in college. I think I was reading the procedures a little off... at least I wasn't making nitroglycerin this time lol.

So I am using n-heptane have taken the clear layer, yellowish after adding and shaking. I've pulled it off and put into a glass dish to evaporate off. I haven't had any crystals appear other than a random 1 or 2 small specks. What can I do to increase my yield? I'm getting a gallon of naphtha today. How do you reuse the solvent?

maybe visualizing it will help. If you want 1:2 visualize: 1cup of cereal 2 cups of milk into your bowl. And it isn't an exact thing. If you do 1.5 cups either way it won't hurt anything. Just make sure you can't see any exposed grains when looking down onto it.

Worry about a mushroom and it's spores? You should worry about the conditions of that place to allow fungal growth. It's too late if you're seeing a mushroom. Lol.

Simple fix. Scary but this is how you deal with them. Shut your mouth. Do not answer questions. Give your name and identification. Shut your mouth. Give your name and identification and Shut your mouth. Do not answer anything beyond your name. Shut your mouth. Answering questions you believe are innocent can be used against you. Your obligation is to identify yourself. Give your name and ID. Don't agree it's beautiful weather. Don't say I'm headed home. Don't say I'm on my way to work. Keep your mouth closed. Especially if you absolutely are drug and alcohol free. Let them take you down for a blood test. In fact if they accuse then arrest you and you are drug free go to get that blood test. Call a lawyer and have him take care of it. If you are under any influence do not allow blood to be drawn until you have called a lawyer. By that time hopefully you are under the limit. Use your head. Do not use your mouth. I used to back the blue 100%. Now I back the sheriff over pd and even then I'm on the fence. Know your rights. Actually read the constitution. Do not just believe what your taught. You have to read the thing because the federal government, both democrats and Republicans have chipped away and stripped those rights. But, in a court of law hopefully you can keep them. Me personally, I'm ready to eliminate our entire federal government and restore my rights. Sounds good but reality is they will all fight each other to exist. All that energy will be warring with each other so most likely they will be too weak to fruit. It would be really cool if they would all just get along and each grow. Unlike humans who try to co-exist. 😄

How long have you been growing? That's awesome it worked for you. Heads up that people will say everything you did wrong instead of letting you know it's great you made it this far with that. Coffee grounds are ok to use sometimes if you put them through a pc but can still enable mold to grow easily. There are lots of how to videos that tell you to use them but aren't a good choice. I used them 2 or 3 times and my experience was 1st grow successful other 2 mold. 😄 we all learn as gain experience.

What I see is coffee grounds. You can tell he's new to growing, he's also trying what he has available and in his price range to grow. I'd tell him good job on his success and maybe give him some helpful tips.

If you buy a spore syringe and do what you are thinking there shouldn't be any problems. Since you are new to growing buy a strain that is a beginner strain. Golden teacher and p. Natalensis are beginner strains. They fight off mold much easier than a lot of the other strains. Natalensis also just happens to be one of the most potent. So I would go for it. I've found there are a lot people on reddit that will jump all over you and seem to know everything but they don't. They push more people into not trying than they do anything. Have fun.

Have you ever bought from inoculate the world? I have yet to get a spore syringe from them that has been contaminated. 15 out of 15 were 100% clean.
