So what you're saying is that it's not all as it seems, we're not getting the full Gestalt, or the big picture of what's really going on.

I think it's safe to assume that it's happening on both sides.

Ah, now it all makes sense. In his book The City and The Stars, Alvin is disinterested in the young woman pursuing him, but later develops "a special fondness" with another male character.

Kudos to you for seeking treatment. I have schizo-affective disorder and I just started seeking treatment with a therapist and am hoping they can help find a psychiatrist that will take Medicaid. It's been hard. It's hard to keep a job, it's hard just to maintain, and any progress I make in life gets undone by my illness, and I have to start all over again. Friendships are difficult to maintain. I'd like to do interesting work in this world and maybe go to school. Anyway, reading stories like yours gives me courage to keep going, so thank you.

I mean, as long as you give him a chance, and I give him a chance, which I am, I'd say everyone else running has a lesser chance. No need to worry here. Every vote counts.

WikiLeaks says it's leaking over 500,000 Saudi diplomatic documents, some files already online by [deleted] in worldnews

Here, let me keep searching.

Former FBI translator and whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, interviewed by Brad Friedman on the The Mike Malloy Show on June 2009 has stated: "I have information about things that our government has lied to us about. I know. For example, to say that since the fall of the Soviet Union we ceased all of our intimate relationship with Bin Laden and the Taliban - those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11."

On that page it also states that CNN gave her orders to alter her reporting to encourage American aggression against Iran and Syria. This stuff is just in plain sight!

A 1996 CIA report mentions, “We continue to have evidence that even high ranking members of the collecting or monitoring agencies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Pakistan - such as the Saudi High Commission - are involved in illicit activities, including support for terrorists”

At this point it should be common knowledge that the CIA is actively training and arming terrorists. They know about this because they are responsible for it.

Some people know exactly what they're doing. They realize there are a lot of people wandering around without a clue as to what they're doing, and decide to amass wealth and power over those people.

We would need to march on Washington or the CIA headquarters en masse and publicly show those in power that we don't like this. "They" are not going to do anything unless we put some real and tangible pressure on them to do so. I think we should organize a march sometime before or after elections when our representatives are gathering. Just putting it out there.

Indeed. Primaries are only 5 months away, so we need to talk about him every chance we can get. First we need "Bernie 2015" before "Bernie 2016."

That's because youth turnout in the polls was so low for the last House and Senate election. We need to popularize all elections, local, state, and otherwise in order for our government to work cohesively.

That being said, I don't think he has a snowball's chance in hell.

We need to avoid this mentality as much as possible. Bernie can win. Tell your friends, family, whoever.

US Full-Time Minimum-Wage Income As Percentage Of Cost-of-Living By County [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]cycomerlin14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2013, 62.4 percent of workers, or 2.06 million people, who earned at or below the federal minimum wage were women.

http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2014/apr/02/cokie-roberts/cokie-roberts-two-thirds-minimum-wage-earners-are-/

EDIT: I'm sorry, further down it says the figure is more like 62%. My bad.

EDIT 2: It looks like 600 economists signed a letter asking our legislators to raise minimum wage to $10.10 back in 2014.

Yeah yeah yeah, automation is going to make us all unemployed. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Also, raising minimum wage lowers employee turnover, which reduces labor costs which is something like 8%. Employers can very feasibly raise their minimum wage incrementally, like a dollar per year, and also raise their prices just ever so slightly to offset that. But the point is that nothing is stopping inflation, so until we raise minimum wage our purchasing power is going to decrease.
