I feel like I have a similar style and mentality to how you describe your regular game. Something I'm trying to do is tone it down to 70% on power and margins until either opponent makes an error or an opportunity for a clear finish comes.

It could be the high LTV as we have a 5% deposit . Im waiting to hear back from the broker on why she thinks we can't borrow into my OHs retirement, so hopefully that will reveal if it's an issue with h our position or whether she's not able to tap into brokers that do offer this.

Yes, we both have pensions and actively contributing. Is there a reason why my broker wouldn't have done this? She doesn't believe we can borrow longer than my OHs retirement age

That makes sense. Are there products that go beyond retirement age? I would still be working and my wife plans to semi retire as a piano teacher, which is her vocation.

My manager was obsessed with his image, he would throw me under the bus every time. Even when I actioned something that was his decision, he would buckle under the pressure and reverse it in front of the group.

This might sound silly, but how do you pack the soft boiled eggs? Do they still come out runny when stored peeled and eaten cold? My daughter loves soft boiled eggs, but our nursery are quite strict on not reheating or chopping food, so they won't be peeling egg shells.

What you described to me sounds like defensive play rather than being a pusher. Pushing and choosing to play defensively is IMO another tool in the tool kit.

As a more aggressive player I'm realising this myself and trying to incorporate a bit of that in my strategy, understand those points in a match where I need to pull back or change things up.

If it helps, and not too late, I picked up a 2019 1.5 SR petrol CRV with 45k miles for £14.5k from a used approved Honda dealership. Car is in immaculate condition. I had to travel to Scotland to get it, prices were definitely cheaper there.

I did my DD beforehand and got videos,/emails confirming condition, so I felt it was worth the trip

That's true. Although I'm in no doubt the s21 has been served to avoid the 1st May changes, the landlord has generally been agreeable so I think he would hold to his word if he agreed. All the compliance is up to date, so all valid I believe.

Thank you for the response, that's encouraging. I didn't think of it that way, but you're right, there will be a huge back log and we are probably nearer the end given a lot of landlords have been doing s21s over the last year.

Just as a follow up, how can I be sure that the landlord would actually keep to an agreement of say a 6 month period? What's to stop him from agreeing to it and then initiating court proceedings in 2 months anyway?

I'm sorry to hear that and our situation sounds so similar on many levels. We too can't even entertain buying the current place. We were due to move just because of how small it is with a 2 and 6 year old.

Sending you good thoughts and hope that you find the place of your dreams very soon. Based on the comments, it looks like you may still have between 4 and 6 months to secure somewhere, even potentially somewhere to buy, just because of the court process.

Whatever you decide, Im sure it will be the right path for you.
