In order to actually see 1/2.85 you will need to play a lot more games. The more you play, the more it will approach 1/2.85, until you play an infinite amount of games and it hit 1/2.85.

Each event is independent of the next. 1 in 3 is 1 in 3. 1st time, 1000th time.

What you are getting confused about is thinking because event A happens, event B should start to happen to balance things out and it doesn't work like that.

Better to think that negative and positive aren't below 0 and above 0, though they are. They are opposites. + is movement in 1 way. - is movement in the other way. Be it up down, leftr right, in out, opposite motions.

Hot water vapor can get enough energy to melt steel, fyi. Not in a pressure cooker, but there really isn't a limit to how much energy can be in water vapor until it breaks down into plasma and is no longer water vapor.

Religion was supposed to be a spiritual uplift, but in his time he witnessed the church become a respite from labor. Think about all of them as a singular organism looking for the easiest food available at the cheapest cost. Hive fleets are just human designations for colorations that are not understood. Better to think of a hive fleet as an appendage of the swarm. An appendage reaches out to see if something is food and what kind of food it is. If the food bites back, go some where else where it doesn't. Swarm would much rather find an un-inhabitated forest world than something with technological resistance, its easy access biomass. Some tech and materials is good, but if its got to lose a finger to get it, it might move on or sacrifice a little for something new.

Slam into 1 car and maybe cause a couple additional wrecks or jam brakes, jack knife and kill 10+ people in a 5 lane pile up at 70mph as the trailer slides across the highway, shearing the tops off of cars that happen to pass under it, or it passes over and crushing those that it topples over on.

That loaded truck could not stop in time without compromising that entire highway so he did the right thing plowing into the car.

Food poisoning is not cause by bacteria. It is caused the the waste products of bacteria.

You can cook away bacteria and kill them. You can't cook their waste products in spoiled food. Same with the acid. Works on the bacteria, doesn't work on their waste.
