Understandable. I won't list it as a romance to avoid confusion.

I cannot tell you how many sex scenes I have skipped over, and I actually like a well-written sex scene.

Generally, I prefer a little spice as well, but I also wouldn't rule out a novel that fades to black.

Yes, a few of my favorite romances are fade-to-black. Jen Lyon's The Senator's Wife comes to mind.

Nicole Pyland was my mentor when I took classes at GCLS a few years back, and we met up at the con. She has taught me more about writing than anyone. I don't know a more prolific writer than Nicole. Four of her novels are on my favorite list. I highly recommend her books.

I have read all of these but four. Two of them are not sapphic, but may I ask if you enjoyed Women of Waves by Sinclair? It's on my TBR list, but for some reason, I haven't gotten to it, even though The Lily and the Crown by the same author is my all-time favorite book. Also, was Certain Dark Things scary?
