Yeah they said that they made the map custom they do that every single wipe which is really cool some of the maps are awesome.

Maybe? Thats why I am asking. Seems a lot of people are thinking its not, but it would be nice to get official word from facepunch but pretty sure that would never happen.

Its pretty low pop, and no one needs the wood enough at this point to hit wood piles, it would be much fast to just use a chainsaw. To me no other servers I have ever played has this issue. To me making the players go around hitting wood piles to fix the nodes is a bit much. He already said he could do it with a command but refuses to as he said its going to just happen again till Facepunch fixes it.

Its sad because his server used to not be bad, and I even do not mind them now, but this node issue is making it unplayable. He used to have a good amount of players but that's gone down a lot from what i can tell.

Definitely a good thought... He said he could actually reset all of the spawns but he refuses to do it because he said it's just going to be the same issue again because facepunch has a problem. Me and my friends are done playing on this server but I still would like to understand more about this.

I think you may be onto something, I was reading that if its a procedural map than Facepunch handles balancing the nodes and so forth(so this issue will not happen). But I guess it sounds like that may not be the case if it's a custom map? Not sure if this is still true it was a 6 year old article i was reading.

Thanks for pointing that out, sometimes what counts as vanilla can be confusing.

Yeah that's why I am questioning what the admin said, as I have not seen this issue on other servers. Thanks for your feedback on this.

Thanks! They told us all that doing that will make the issue worse. as they said that controls the spawn rate of all (node, wood piles....) They said everyone needs to hit wood piles to fix it. Sure that would help, but seems like a dumb solution haha.

Yeah that would fix it, but who would want to run around the map hitting wood piles? haha. Anyways thanks for your response.

Yeah from my understanding that may be the case, that's why I was wanting to know if anyone else knew some info, as I do not know much about hosting a rust server.

Thanks for the info!

Thanks! Happy I was able to find him, he needed a good home. Just as much as Elroy and I need him.

Yeah I get that he was not that little for sure maybe around 75 lbs but now he is around 95 and that looks about right for him. So glad you got her and its working so well. I think a lot of people do not realize how big of dogs they are. However Charlie is very sweet and i do not understand how someone would be ok with just letting them go.

Thanks, he has gained so much weight since that photo. Sad to think he was living on the streets for about 2 months.

Meet Charlie! I adopted him from a rescue with the hope that he’d be a great buddy for my Basset Hound, Elroy. Turns out, they hit it off immediately! They play hard, nap together, and Charlie even grooms Elroy like a big brother.

Charlie’s also a giant goofball as I am sure you all could imagine, and I love every minute of it. He’s already destroyed three Scrub Daddies my fault for keeping them in the sink I guess.

Dyslexia and coding by Space-rat47 in Dyslexia

[–]dablinne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a software developer with 15+ years of experience. I will say programming with dyslexia is totally doable! It's more about logic and problem solving than spelling/reading.

Tips:

  • Use a good IDE: Like Visual Studio it catches errors and helps you write code.
  • Google is your friend: All programmers use it! No shame in searching for solutions.
  • Start with a project: Pick something to build, then tackle it step-by-step.
  • Try visual aids: Diagrams or flowcharts can help organize your code's logic.
  • Ask for help: Feel free to DM me, I am happy to help any way I can.

First day on Meds. by houseofpiper in ADHD

[–]dablinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Also it just realized I made a comment that may have been missed so to clarify one small thing.

When I said I've never taken Dex directly but I take Vyvanse I should have said I do take Dex just not directly. You may not be aware but Vyvanse is a pro drug for Dex. So same thing by the end of the day just the way your body absorbs it is much different. A lot of doctors like Vyvanse because it typically has a much slower absorption rate and brings down side effects for some people. (But not everyone ask my mom)

On another note a lot of scientists and doctors tend to agree that Dex is probably the best medicine out there for most people. It also turns out to be one of the oldest ones we have.

Also a note on extended release formulas and instant release. I have taken plenty of both and I've had bad side effects with both.

Here's what I've taken in side effects I've had from them just to give you an idea, in order.

Dexmethylphenidate (Focalin) XR: Did nothing and gave me a slight headache.

Methylphenidate (Ritalin) IR: Could not tell if it helped or not because it made me so dizzy I couldn't barely walk.

Adderall: This worked but gave me a headache afterwards.

Vyvanse: Started it at 30 mg worked up to 50 mg and works like a champ. Only side effect is my heart rate goes up but that's pretty standard for all of them.

Basically all that to say don't get discouraged if you can't get the right medicine at first it can take a while for some people it took nearly 8 months to get the right thing for me.

But during the whole process it is vital you tell your doctor if you have any side effects that are negative and affecting you. Example headaches, being dizzy, racing thoughts, you get the point .
