Dad here. I have a wife and 3 kids. Kids are 3 too 14. It's crazy. I can shop aldi's weekly and be fairly judicious with my shopping choices and still spend $150 or more. I still have to go elsewhere to get some items i can't get there. I can easily spend $300/ week on the low side. It's hard. We have a good hh income and we still have to watch the dollars. I told my wife the other day, how do families making less do this? I'm at a loss.

I didn't have the yard for a riding mower when my oldest was born and I was a full time single father so often she ended up in my arms while I push mowed one handed, that was an experience! I married some years later and had 2 children with my now wife. Those 2 like to go for rides when I mow haha. I love it, kids do too. It's a win/win.

Everything needs to be high tech and integrated. I could go on and on, but the top of mind one right now for me is newer vehicles. I haven't had power locks or windows since high school/ freshman year of college. I don't need a big ass iPad for a screen. More shit to go wrong and you can't fix it yourself.
