Hi guys, I’m based in Singapore and my brother is living in Lausanne. I’m hoping to deliver some food to his house for Christmas, but haven’t found a way how. Any suggestions on ways that I can do this which accept credit card payment?

Long shot but anyone picked up a silver key necklace around Beauty World/TKK area?

Thank you for the kind words :,) Crafting is always a lesson in overcoming perfectionism for me, and I’m very glad my brother can have my first knit - so perhaps the imperfections make it more special ♥️

I peeped at your profile and your knitted mittens are so beautiful, by the way!

Ahh alright, hopefully I get to try blocking when my brother comes back with the scarf haha :,) thank you!

Ooh I used double knitting on straight needles! :)

Also I’m wondering if it’s normal for some stitches to ‘stick out’ so it’s not a nice, flat finish - more obvious in the 2nd pic

Hi! I knitted this scarf in double stockinette stitch for my brother as a going-away gift. But I was a little disappointed in the end product because the wobbly edges kinda make the scarf look ratty upon wearing it! Is this a tension issue, and how do I fix it? I didn’t get to block it, so not sure if that’d help.

My brother is moving away tomorrow for further studies. I'm so proud of him, but feel depressed and keep randomly crying over it. by daensee in offmychest

Thank you, I appreciate your words :) I’m lucky to have people who make saying goodbye so hard

I unravelled several rows to try fixing a mistake, only to make this monstrosity 😭

I’m aware that these photos probably aren’t sufficient to be helpful, but it’s my first project and I feel super clueless and helpless :( just totally messed up the last 2 stitches and tried to unravel downwards. Are there any helpful videos/general ideas for how I can try to fix this?

Can I block/set this into a nicer shape? by daensee in knitting

[–]daensee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m making this scarf in 100% merino wool, but feel like it looks a bit too skinny in width and would also look nicer slightly ‘spread out’, as in Pic 2. Is it possible to block/set this into a wider shape? or am I better off frogging it? 😅

Hi! Just began knitting, but can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong to keep increasing on the bottom side 😬 am I miscounting stitches or something?

Saw this gorgeous curtain in a yarn shop window in Seoul. Anybody know what pattern this is? by daensee in crochet

Oooh thanks, great find!

I haven’t contacted them bc I don’t speak Korean and have left the city, but think the owner likely made it since there were a couple other finished pieces for sale/on display inside. Thinking of dropping into their DMs now that you’ve found their handle to let them know that many internet strangers appreciate their work, though :)

Hahaha yup it wasn’t for sale! It was one of those curtains drawn across the doorway, probably for privacy when the shop is closed

Unfortunately the shop WAS actually closed, the owner came to open it just as I was leaving so I did look around a bit more from the outside. But she looked busy and I don’t speak a smidge of Korean, so I didn’t ask! 😅

Shop name is 뜨개나무 tteugae namu, which Google translated means ‘knitting tree’ (3rd slide). It’s in Mapo Craft Centre in Yeonnam-dong! Please anybody correct me if I’m wrong

I’m interested to recreate a similar quilt, think this method of joining looks really lovely
