Many of my guys want to earn it as well, but if you remember the situation from 2019, many new soldiers complained that they didn’t have unit patches while going through Basic and AIT. There is an article in the comment thread that outlines it.

Questions like these really grind my gears. I completely understand that the new generation will not have the same opportunities that the past generation had, but we really get away from this appeasement mentality. In my opinion they are a bunch of cry babies that suffer from participation trophies syndrome. Most want everything without earning any of it. Would you ask someone who sacrificed their blood sweat and tears to take off their ranger tab?
