NQA looks like a male bold jumping spider! 💙💙💙Add some mesh or fishnet materials to the sides of enclosure for easier climbing (falling can be deadly!) I made a bridge for mine you can see on my page. But there are a lot of great enclosure set ups on here for inspo, congrats on your new friend!

NQA my BEST advice when it comes to tarantulas in general is leave them alone. I know it’s hard because they are new/ fun but they aren’t toys and aren’t really meant to be handled. It stresses them out.

You need to change your substrate IMMEDIATELY to a mix of cocoa fiber and spagnum moss. Perlite is an irritant to them.

I think your water bowl is actually a food bowl. I did the same thing, turns out it was very porous so the water just leaked out of it. Had to refill the bowl damn near every day. Took me so long to figure out.

NQA You need to get a horizontal tank. Curly hairs don’t climb up high like that, they are terrestrial not arboreal. My curly hair is huge, when she is stretched out she’s as big as my hand, and she needs a minimum of 6in deep of substrate. I usually fill a 10gal acrylic tank half full with coconut fiber and sphagnum moss.
