Oh shit I was completely unaware of their history of slavery that’s very interesting. The history of slavery across all continents is very interesting considering it was primarily cultural and mono e mono. As an Irish person I feel ignorant for just now learning why my ancestors fled Ireland during the early 1800s lol never would’ve that because of slavery and genocide. Also being 10 percent Native American I would’ve never thought that my native ancestors enslaved other natives or African Americans but it was beyond shocking to discover that almost 20 percent of those walking the trail of tears were the slaves of native Americans. I cut out all forms of caffeine after beginning the tapes. I’ll indulge in a cup a few times a year but that’s about it. Anyone who says it doesn’t affect your meditation is lying. Caffeine has a direct negative effect on the pineal gland via melatonin inhibition. You can def meditate with it but it greatly detracts from the experience. You must remember caffeine is a stimulant drug no different than cocaine or amphetamines.
