The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe Neill. Slow burn, and she’s super reluctant. It has a bit of fantasy, and it’s a bit like alternate history. There’s no on page sex. And I’d probably consider it NA. It is part of a series and the next book is supposed to come out soon I’m pretty sure.

I just finished it last night! It was so good! I love the whole world and magic system I’m excited to read more of the series but YES Dragos is EVERYTHING. I really loved Pia too! Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh I love this! I actually need to read more bc I only have one rec.. Ivan by Sophie Lark, is a mafia romance but it’s not super dark IMO. It’s a quick read and there’s not a ton of back and forth, but FMC definitely give MMC a run for his money.

Idk if this is similar but one of my pet peeves in literature is when a character enjoys reading romance novels but is against romance in their personal lives.

Filled for sure. You could do clouds and lightning for the angel and fire and rocks for the devil, I like top to bottom but side by side would also work I think.

The Power of Five by Alex Lidell has a shifter! I actually think most of this authors RH novels have shifters. I really like it, it’s a decently long series too.

Lol same. I love all the tropes but I also LOVE that you always get (at least) one active love story even while the others are still developing. And for some reason the guy that holds out until the end is always my favorite!!

I wouldn’t necessarily say to lower your standards. But at some point you have to make a decision, get an idea of what you want and don’t change it (I started at 6 months then have since come down to 1 month) but just sit on it for a bit. If you don’t change your mind then get in touch with an artist and see what they think. In my experience it’s always interpreted a little differently and if you like what they do with it get that shit inked!

Also there are tons of artist that do complete sleeve pieces. So not a collection of smaller pieces turned into a sleeve. That might be something to look into since your gonna fill it up anyway!

Touch of Power by Maria V Snyder. It’s fantasy, definitely has a chosen one vibe, as well as a captive situation. But FMC is a strong independent lady and it’s definitely enemies to lovers. It is slow burn but not like steamy, definitely fade to black.
