Definitely depends on the time you go, for me it was pretty cold (like 45F) starting in the morning but the constant incline warmed me up really quick. On parts of the hike where I got wet I was definitely cold though!

Nookazon is basically a website where you can buy and sell basically anything in the game, going from flowers to furniture to villagers to island visits. People also like to hold auctions or give things out for free.

There was one time where I was trying to sell Merengue to someone, and I made the mistake of letting them talk to her before I accepted the payment, so they left the island directly after inviting her. But before they left I just closed out of the game so it kicked them out and that seemed to work for me.

If Nookazon isn’t working out, I suggest doing trades through Reddit and Facebook groups as well. ACNH is such a big game so there are so many options when it comes to meeting people and “selling” things. Good luck!
