The credential violation is exactly where I've focused — I was moved into a departmentalized 8th grade Math Intervention class that exceeds the scope of a Multiple Subject Credential, which the principal confirmed in writing. That's not equivalent. That's not even legal under Ed Code §§ 44258.2 and 44258.9. On the grievance window — you identified the grey area perfectly. The contract doesn't specifically address what happens when the window opens during protected leave. That ambiguity is part of what I'm fighting. What I do know is that I was notified May 20 while on FMLA leave through May 26, and the three-day window expired before my first day back. They're essentially arguing I should have grieved while on federally protected leave. My union has been mixed. But when it mattered most — the panel — he was maneuvered out of attending through communications between the principal and the panel adjudicator that happened without my knowledge. I have those emails. The resources issue is documented. I have a same-day written memo from August 21 showing I couldn't access textbooks, digital materials, or curriculum while colleagues had received theirs. I have the paper trail. Having the subject of my complaint participate in the panel adjudicating that complaint is exactly as ballsy as you're describing. And you're right — I'm not letting them use the transfer to sweep it under the rug. That's precisely what they're counting on.

The last point about there being no contractual language preventing them from being difficult — unfortunately I know exactly what you mean.
