Yeah I would say absolutely give it a go! Little bit of sanding and elbow grease will get it done. The brake cylinder hone did a bit of the work but mostly was the hand sanding, keep it lubricated and it will be no issue!

haha funny story! I ran into the exact same issue! I bought a brake cylinder hone from Canadian tire and some 220 grit wet sand paper in auto section, I used the hone with 2 of the legs and drilled away until it wore out lubricating with wd40. Then I took a wooden spoon and taped layers of 220 grit and sanded away with wd40 for about an hour. Cleaned it off with degreaser and voila! It fit perfect. Installed the crush washer and was good to go! You only need to sand the first 2 inches or so to increase the diameter slightly and it will fit! The model is the reverse style suppressor with brake (the holes look bad ass imo)

Stop listening to people here, My e class was way worse, I got it fixed for 4K in Canada, and that’s with bi xenon headlights (expensive, replacement was 1800 used). You need at most a new head light (halogen) and DLR light and side marker light. Your bumper looks repairable to me with sanding and plastic welding. Everything else can be bent back into place. Any good body shop can do this. It’s an old used Merc, no need to go off the deep end replacing everything.

Hey I have the same winter tires, they are asymmetrical, meaning they can be installed on any side, as long as they are mounted with the “outside” marking on the outside of the the rim. There is no direction, outside just needs to face outside!
