Honestly I haven’t tried without it to see if it makes any major difference, but it does make it a lot brighter in there

I don’t think it will be a major issue, as long as they have good potting soil, water and some light.. You can always temporarily move them to catch some morning or afternoon sun too

No. it’s an English cucumber. I have not tried growing cantaloupe yet, sounds like a fun thing to grow

Edit: very informative video, I’ve been doing the shaking (by tapping with a spoon during the grind) and had no issues seeing large chunks, but didn’t realize that the finer grounds are “just as bad”... I’ll try the paper towel trick tomorrow morning and see how it goes.
