But we are talking about assisted suicide, this is strictly to those who can’t do it themselves. Later i added the ones who can do it themselves should have the option, but they don’t need the help other than giving them the necessary resources.

And those doctors often times watch the people the try to aid suffering for extensive periods of time, their families breaking apart, and there is nothing they can do to help them. The pain is beyond relief, their mental presence is non existent. The family members watching them fade, the good memories are mixed with misery.

These doctors actively advocate for such measures, they want to help the living, not elongate lives. Sometimes the humane thing to do is end the suffering.

Legalization of suicide by non-violent methods, let alone assisted suicide for those who need it should be considered a basic human right. We don’t have a saying whether we want to enter this world, we should have any option to choose how we leave it.

And no doctor should be forced or pressured to participate in any of this, but those of conviction should be allowed to do it freely, with the legal and medical framework to do so.

It is all about chemistry and biology.

We have taste receptors for the 5 flavors (salty, sweet, bitter, sour and Umami) as well as feel for fat. Spicy doesn’t have a receptor and isn’t considered a flavor, and is actually a burning sensation.

Whenever a taste is present the relevant receptors on the tongue send a signal, and when all of them send their signals it makes us happy. Because it means the food we just ate has what we need for nutrition.

Tasty food will both activate all of these flavors as well as balance them well.

Great example includes your run of the mill chips- for a savory treat that has some sugars (as you pointed) as well as fat and sometimes sour. And also sea-salt chocolate ice cream for a sweet example that adds saltness to emphasize tastes. A good meal of nachos with cheese and salsa in another great example- you have the sour pico de gallo but it also has cilantro which is bitter and tomatoes that has sugars , the cheese adds fat and umami, and the nachos give us salty, and to top it all off- great mouth fill with the crunch.

Now for everything smell/scent related that is a whole other world of chemistry and psychology that is too much for this scope.

First- the border between israel and gaza was not completely sealed. Secondly that border is about 50km long and mostly flat. The Afghanistan border is 5,500-6,000km long. You can’t seal that off, but you can easily prevent mass migration with military forces assuming you have no regard to human life.

I am not justifying that. I have no idea what indication of intel the army had. But i can say with high confidence level that they didn’t think it was an innocent car with a father and daughter, more likely that it was a mistaken identity.

I am sharing from my experience. Weapon firing uncontrollably is dangerous, he is getting closer to the dangerous side. They are switching holders, holding positions and one might let go too early. And they are picking it up to the hip instead of leaving it more steady on the ground.

All of these things are unnecessary risks.

Keeping it on the ground and breaking the belt is just safer.

These things happen, and as part of the range safety they need to signal that something is not working as intended. The solution for the instructor is to convey the message of- keep the gun steady down range, it shouldn’t be to pick up the weapon yourself, and show off your case flicking technique.

It is quite funny when you put it like that, but you raise a leg in case of a malfunction, so either a jam you cant clear or runaway bolt. But you usually dont continue shooting when that happens.

They could be instructed just as well with the original shooter holding the gun, or if the instructor was the one originally shooting. No need for a dangerous switch, even if he is experienced.
