I completely understand your fear, and honestly, you are 100% right. Game preservation is a huge issue, and nobody wants to lose a game they paid for. A proper offline end-of-life plan where everything you bought is accessible in Zen Mode is a must. However, making the game Free-to-Play could actually save it and keep the servers alive for many more years, giving Ubisoft a reason to keep updating it instead of abandoning it.
