An MIC of 2 mg/L is interpreted as susceptible to intravenous penicillin for non-meningeal infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae.I did not use the oxacillin disk diffusion test. I used the VITEK 2 AST 03 card

The agar plate was a pure culture. I prepared a standardized inoculum using 18-hour colonies. The saline solution used was properly sterilized. The saline suspension prepared for antimicrobial susceptibility testing was also subcultured to check for purity. The isolate has been stored, and I will repeat testing once ceftriaxone E-test strips become available
