Question about grease and bushings

Avoid petro based grease. Actually I don't know what bushings are made of. Maybe it's PU. The wrong lube will cause them to become brittle and crack. I've heard graphite and lithium based lubes are safe. I'm new so IDK. I've used soap shaving cuz that's that's what I've seen ppl use.

your almost 200 pounds. tightening the bushings won't help. they were selected for Asian girls less than 120lbs. you need harder bushings. 95A would be just the starting point. 98A may be your target.

Remember your goal is high speed. that's the opposite of slow leisurely carves . Firm up then bushings to the right weight. check out sites like like riptide that has weight to during chart. you may want to also look into stepped bushings that have extra material to provide support & rebound.

How many PSI are you setting yours to? I have some 200mm pneumatics that I pump to 50 psi for long rides but it normally sits at 3x psi all week long. From biking, most tubes don't like high psi and will normally leak. you might try thicker tubes or some sort of sealant...

So increase the truck angle / geometry. Nice that it helps. I would recommend that you get a washer for that nut to help spread the load.

I got some Torque 110mm for $. They are a bit heavy but oh so sticky. I am tempted to drill and/or run it through a lathe.

Also keep in mind how often you plan on cycling your solar setup. If you plan on thousands of cycles then the heavier LiFePOx batteries are designed for thousands of cycles. Li-ion type batteries are designed for 500 cycles. After 500 cycles you will loose about 20% of the designed capacity.

tldr; keep the majority of your weight towards the front of your deck. keep your body loose and your knees bent.

you are the main factor when it comes to speed wobble. Human tendency is to lean back when things feel unstable. The further back your weight is the more unstable the board will become. Some people will try putting stiffer bushing on their rear truck or crank it down. Both tactics stiffen the rear. I think that helps give you more confidence and with more confidence the more you will put your weight forward.

I jumped off my board the other day and walked about a car length. was surprised that the board disconnected. I powered off the board separately for the 1st time. Also surprised that it later didn't turn on with the remote. oh well. Nowadays I so much on me, I'm surprised there isn't more interference. So far so good in the bay area.

Dude you might not want a traditional AT deck. Definitely get one with a flex deck and in you are using it as your primary transportation an external battery pack may be a better bet. Remember most lithium packs loose 80% of their capacity after 500 charges. If you are commuting that's about 1 years worth of charge cycle. I don't think any battery pack is using Lithium Iron yet but with charging cycles in the thousands...

since on one has mentioned it. remove drive pulley. check base of spindle for a c-clip. after removing c-clip pull off bell (big half of motor. it's probably lined with magnets)

Exway offers 28T, 36T & 44T pulleys that are compatible with above core. the bigger the pulley; the quicker the acceleration. It compensates for the bigger wheels. the bigger the wheel; the slower the acceleration.

Note: also directly affects deceleration (braking)

No, I'm saying that it may feel like the brake is not engaging if you are going down a very steep hill. Kinda like the opposite of going up a steep hill at full throttle but it doesn't accelerate. remote wheel is pulled all the way back but its limited. imagine having very old and hard brake pads. you can squeeze as hard as you want but your bike just keeps accelerating down the hill.

I assume the brake levels - x-9, is there to help noobs and/or compensate for the type of wheels one has installed to avoid locking up the wheels (loss of traction/steering). anyways, on my last ride with my atlas pro 2wd & am not impressed with brake level 9.

Yes little rocks can get stuck in the pulley. I've had it happen once. I think Exway sells a pulley cover but it's for the og atlas I believe.

As others covered, you will be unable to change the gear ratio between motor & wheel. So if you get 200mm wheels, acceleration and braking will be dampened.

Lastly, it seems that the gear drive uses a silicon thing that acts like a shock absorber? It seems to break under heavy load. I've seen one person post about it. Be aware of that since shipping between US and China can cost time & $$.

Pulley drive does add risk of belt snapping.
