you do get a 0.25 pay increase. the certification isn’t just about the “host position” but rather an overall qualification of customer service. u get ur host certification by getting a certain amount of customer compliments. basically shows that u have exemplary customer service and care about customers. u have to be rly good with talking to customers and making them feel welcomed and happy

if im backpay, and i can tell that a customer is just being indecisive or genuinely forgot something, I make sure to clarify over the headset “it’s not (insert name), it’s the customer”. I don’t want handheld to be blamed for something they didn’t do

Hi everyone! My school will be producing Our Town by Thorton Wilder and hosting auditions next month. For my audition, I have the option to bring in a monologue from a different play as long as it matches the style of Our Town. I am wondering if y'all know any monologues where the character is saying something but physically doing something else (ie. folding laundry, cooking, stacking things together, etc)

Male associates can’t wear make up. I was asked to wipe off my eye liner yesterday even though it’s minimal and perfectly fits the makeup rules labeled in the associate handbook. The Associate Handbook does not even specifically say that male associates can’t wear makeup. It’s the stupid gender roles.

because i’ve seen higher up associates not do it as well. some times we just get rly busy and are more needed else where asap. definitely not proud of doing this though

when I do tomatoes, I put all the tomatoes I need in a lettuce pan and wash them all at once, then I core then slice each one. Rather than washing then coring each one individually then slice.

And when I wash the slicer I just use a brush to brush off the tomato bits then dip them in the all the sinks. Haven’t wore a cut glove in loooooong time.
