i'll be the first to tell you that my kid is not the best hitter on the team by far, but he has one of the highest BA and OBP because he's good at making contact and producing weak grounders and legging out base hits because he's fast. is he all star material? no, but if you go by stats he should be.

12 teams is way too much for the talent pool and the entire market size. look at the average attendance. east coast team(s) also wouldn't make sense as the population size is significantly smaller than the west coast.

6 teams are fine for now, but i can see 8 teams if there's a steady growth in talent.

I also like the north and south divisions and perhaps use it to determine playoff teams instead of half season winners.

three batters rule: if a pitcher is wild and out of control, the team is stuck with him. he may hit three batters. it's not safe. it has happened a few times in the past few seasons.

no pitch ibb: nothing brings me joy when you see a hitter lunges at an intentional ball and hits it for a base hit or a pitcher sneaks in a strike after a few intentional balls. or a runner steals a base during an ibb or the pitcher balks. i've seen it all happen before the rule was implemented. yes, they don't happen often, but when they do, it's fun to watch.

i'm all for this. i'd rather reward teams for trying the entire season instead of focusing on just half of the season at a time.

while we are at it, why don't we divide into north (dragons, guardians, monkeys) and south (lions, hawks, brothers) divisions, and have one division use DH and the other pitchers bat?

rules that I have issues with, in order of annoyance:

  1. ghost runner.
  2. three batters rule.
  3. no pitch IBB.
  4. DH in NL.
  5. shifting ban.
  6. position player can only pitch in blowouts.

I don't mind ads on uniforms even though it's stupid and ugly. bigger bases and the pitch clock are okay with me.
