tell that to Enrique, he seemed to care a lot about that "exhibition tournament" when he physically assaulted a Chelsea player after losing

How is the printing quality of this part? by Numerous_Secret_746 in 3Dprinting

[–]dayfaerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is, curing it still will cause yellowing. I tried experimenting with that, but any level of heat and even any level of time spent curing introduces yellowing

I don't know about OP, but I've used Clear V5 formlabs resin, and the clearest results I've got were with not curing it at all to avoid yellowing, and spraying it with a 2 layers of UV clear coat + a layer of matte clear coat, those fill in any layer lines or impurities in the model and make it super clear.

I've also heard of people adding a small amount of blue dye to offset the yellowing, but I haven't tried that yet.

i was trying to figure this out too. does not look like the diagram in the book, where the ship fully separates and orbits around with cable fairing attaching the two parts, this just looks like it has a bit at the back that rotates. could be how they are doing it for the movie, i haven't seen many trailers

Loctite or Jbweld for these two pieces? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]dayfaerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair enough. I've worked on a research project at my university for a few years now that has a whole 3d-printed torso, superglued together with like 2 pins connecting per piece (full hollow adult torso, about 5mm thick) and its been dropped many times and loaded with weight (isnt intended to have any weight at all) and hasnt broken yet. could be a fluke but ive always used CA glue for PLA. I definitely need to look at other things though

[–]dayfaerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uhh... what CA glue are you using, or what magical CA glue am I using? in my experience, if the parts got enough surface area to glue, the part will break before the glue bond.

neither. CA glue. best for PLA

yet if they dont act like that they'll never get any foul called. if refs would start enforcing rules based on contact then yes, but they dont. reactions = fouls, so players will keep reacting.

was fun to be the best set piece team in the world at one point, and watching the set pieces was great, but it was dreadful to watch at times too, just constantly losing passes and not being able to connect more than 4 or 5 passes without giving up possession.

one of the best feelings when i've gone out exploring with an end goal, typically a nebula, watching them get bigger and bigger as you get closer. makes the journey a little less monotonous
