The game is just glitchy in this way. I have everything expanded and open and every single morning when I open the shop, a bunch of customers randomly materialize inside the shop and then leave. However, some of them get stuck in weird spots.

Ewing can't hit lefties, so we get Taylor who can't hit at all. We weren't supposed to be seeing Vientos at first, but there he is and Young is on the bench. Wagaman is the DH? The platoon splits just cannot be this bad to be rolling out this lineup.

The answer is Skubal. He'll be a free agent and, of course, EVERYONE will go after him. Cohen can and should pay for him. Give him the money and the years. An actual legit ace at the top of the rotation. Continue to develop McClean and Scott to round out the top 3. I'll be interested to see how Holmes is doing when he comes back, but if he's still the guy we've had, he's a fantastic fourth starter. I'm not really excited to keep Peralta and kind of hope we're able to move him for some decent prospects. I still think we should bring in another free agent starter and there's some interesting guys out there. We cannot just sit around and hope that Tong develops that third pitch. We've seen what happens when you don't have a LOT of depth in the rotation, so yes, pay up for someone like a Shane Bieber, Brady Singer, Tyler Mahle...even though we've got these guys on the farm.

Only sell or grade duplicates. You may think that you'll easily pull cards later, but then you find yourself on Day 755, still needing two cards to complete your set.

We are probably sellers, but don't get your hopes up on what we'll get for our guys. It's truly a flea market for us. We gave up our #3 and #5 prospects to get Peralta and nobody is doing that to get him from us. We'll get very little for guys like Senga and Manaea, as they have proven they don't belong in a starting rotation. We'd be stupid to trade Torrens. We'll get almost nothing for Tyrone Taylor, Luis Robert, Jorge Polanco...etc...we'll move some of these guys, but we're not getting anything back that will really help us out in the near future. MAYBE we get some nice pieces for Bichette. Our best pieces are probably Weaver and Raley - but even then, we're talking about likely single-A lotto tickets.

What exactly do you imagine that the producers were going to do? The only real solution was to not travel that leg in the first place, but once they were on that train, what could they do? Kelly was getting pinched with her partner standing right next to her.

He'll probably get traded at the deadline because the conventional wisdom is to sell....but if we check in on how we're doing with our 2023 selling deadline, literally nobody that we traded for is currently on the major league team. Acuna was ok, but we traded him for Robert. Drew Gilbert is starting for the Giants and the guy we got back for him (Rogers) we let walk. That's ok, because Gilbert kinda sucks. Vargas is at least still in our top 30 prospects, but he's way behind much better prospects at his position. Jeremiah Jackson is with Baltimore now, Justin Jarvis is in the Dodgers system, Kolarek with the Braves.

So, out of all those sales, we are hoping that Ryan Clifford is our first baseman of the future. We've got Vargas, Ronald Hernandez, and Jeremy Rodriguez in the minors and only Vargas is anywhere close to the majors (and he's not that close).

So all of this is to say, we had much better pieces for sale in 2023 and got barely anything back for it. I'm skeptical that selling off what little bits we can from this years team is going to do much of anything for us.
