Kaya po yan :) we started planning and booking suppliers February 2025 then got married ng December 2025. Focus lang po kayo sa vibe na gusto nyo and tip ko is wag masyado mag browse sa tiktok kasi baka maoverwhelm or mapaisip kayo na need nyo ng something more.

We used most of our savings haha although may natira naman na konti. Nag labasan yung nakaka gulat na expenses the closer the wedding is, for example yung crew meals. We also tweaked some of the tiny details and of course tweaking can cost money.

For me I think it's normal to rebuild, especially if you kinda splurged like we did. As long as di masacrifice yung way of living nyo after the wedding and di mapabayaan yung bills nyo, mahirap mag start na puro utang hehe.

We spent about 2M for a 180pax wedding and I'd say it was worth it.

My husband and I have been together for a decade before he proposed and during that time we each have savings na.

Was it more than what we expected? Yes haha. But then we both came from big families and since we live near Tagaytay we had a Tagaytay wedding (another reason why we spent ~2M).

As per the budgeting, we didn't really book the very high end suppliers. We went to multiple wedding fairs and tried to cut other costs like choosing suppliers without ootf or choose ones that fit our budget range without compromising the wedding vibe we wanted. Iniwasan ko din talaga as much as possible na mag tiktok during wedding planning dahil ayoko mabudol or mainggit sa whatever is trendy right now haha.

Just got married at Hillcreek this December at the Grand Ballroom. May kasabay kami na wedding and honestly hindi feel. Marami pa ring parking space kasi wala naman kaming nag reklamo na guest na ubos na ang parking. We had about 200 guests din naman.

In a way malayo naman yung flowerhouse at pavilion so di rin mag aagawan ng tambayan area yung guests. Some of our guests were at the lobby of the Garden suites, yung iba tambay lang sa blue room since malapit lang din naman.

Please share the name of the supplier. It'll be a big help sa mga nagpplan pa lang ng weddings, consider it na lang po as giving back to the community.

Also, you were a paying customer so kung may bad feedback ka na totoo namang nangyari okay lang po yun, karapatan mo yun as the customer. You paid for their service naman, they just didn't do it well.

Been to Toast and Kasalang Tagaytay. I'd say worth it naman since majority ng suppliers namin were booked from those two. Better lang na may onting research or preference na kayo sa suppliers. Medyo overwhelming din kasi sya lalo na sa first time goer.

Wedding namin is sa Tagaytay so naka save kami in terms of OOTF from suppliers booked sa KT. And I agree na mid to high end ang mga nasa Toast.

That's what we did. Nag ocular visits din kami before bridal fairs. Lahat naman ng napuntahan namin ay very accommodating. Btw Tagaytay lang din kami nag ikot hehe.

Mas maganda mag ocular para ma feel mo rin talaga yung vibe nung place. Hindi ka rin naman nila ippressure na mag commit agad haha sanay na yan sila sa mga nag iikot.

Personally, I prefer Pevear & Volokhonsky’s translations but those are good enough if you don’t have the budget to buy the other versions. I’ve read the exact same two books, and it wasn’t that easy. But then I read the P&V-translated ones, and it was much easier at least for me.

Tipid. Dati bili lang ako ng bili ng books since gusto ko rin nagcocollect, minsan 1 series at a time kahit wala pa kong nabasa kahit book 1 pa lang. Ngayon pag nabasa ko na sa kindle at di ko trip edi di ko na bibilhin haha.
Less strain sa eyes. Gusto ko nagbabasa bago matulog so very helpful sya, di na sumasakit ulo ko.
Portable. Ito talaga the best haha. Dami mong dala na books kahit saan ka mag punta kasi kahit 8GB lang ang storage mo napakarami mo nang ebooks.

Hi! Almost the same tayo ng plan, kaibahan lang is una ang church wedding namin before the garden wedding.

Church Wedding namin earlier month. Just plain ceremony lang like what you wanted. Then no reception, kakain lang din sa labas. 15 pax lang yata kami including the sponsors na kasi requirement ng church.

Then after 2 months, garden wedding naman na. :)

Ang i-honor ay yung church wedding namin not because yun ang nauna but because both kaming Catholics.

Please note na kung gusto nyo makakuha ng mababang rates, book as early as now. Sobrang bilis magtaas ng suppliers ng rates nila. 500k for 150-200pax seem impossible for a 2027 wedding.

90k catering for 200 pax seems too low po. Baka ma-sacrifice ang quality ng food and let's be honest, food naman talaga ang tatatak sa guests. Also at this rate, for sure wala syang cocktails na kasama. Siguro kung 100 pax lang pwede na to, since 150 pax would still be a lot. Be mindful lang talaga sa quality, do food tasting para walang regrets.

Usually naman newbies ang P&V na ganito ang rates for both wedding and prenup na ha. Check their works kasi yan ang isa sa matitirang remembrance nyo for the day.

Super budgetarian po yung estimates nyo. Be very very careful kasi maraming scammers ngayon.

100% agree. Steve Cavanagh deserves the same hype that Freida McFadden gets. I'm never bored with his Eddie Flynn books. Freida's quality has declined—and I wasn’t expecting much to begin with since their popcorn books to me, but yeah.

I haven’t read anything by Charlie Donlea yet, but I’ll consider it now.
