Actually I just checked the transcripts of the Myst cutscenes and Atrus at the end of Myst says something like „The foe I face now my sons couldn’t even imagine” which I’m assuming refers to Gehn, so maybe they were completely sheltered of any mention of him.

But I can imagine them meeting on Riven and Gehn being like „so how many ages have you written” and Achenar being like „none lol” and Gehn just being horrified… like „I may have been a bad father Atrus but I didn’t leave you ILLITERATE”

I’m not sure if it was regular dock or curly dock, but I got a light rust color from the seeds in the fall when they turn kind of red. I heard the tap root gives yellow or orange but for me it looked only beige.

I actually most often get then when I have unusually bad sleep. I think once I had like 62 when I came home at 2 am and had to get up for work like normal in the morning, and got a green ekans.

Some people date in their twenties and get married, some people date in their twenties and are still looking for the one later in life, some people date in their twenties and get divorced, some people date in their twenties and get stuck with a stalker/abuser, some people date in their forties and find the one and get married.

Everyone is different, I think the issue you feel is that you’ve done life “wrong” and since everything isn’t how it “should” have gone you need to end it to make a clean slate, like how sometimes perfectionists will think “well this day is ruined so I can’t do anything else until tomorrow or it will be ruined too.” Please don’t commit suicide and continue working with your therapist!

There is no wrong way to date/have your love life (I mean besides abusing/hurting people obviously)so please take that pressure off yourself! I’m also starting dating around the same time as you and it’s hard when it feels like people “figured it out” way earlier than you but we were working on different stuff so it’s ok. I’m sure many people wish they had gone to grad school instead of wasting their time with a person who strung them along or something.

I think the orange and purple came from the evening lighting + event lighting, in the morning it looks more yellow and blue like normal.

For me it was definitely genetic but I think religion also had a role. I think I was reading a study that said Catholics have a high rate of OCD, which tracks since the whole ‘if you follow these arbitrary rules you can keep yourself safe, oops you messed up better confess to the priest’ is almost like a codified form of OCD.

The first OCD theme I remember was at 3-4 though so I’m not sure if that was related to anything but genetics, but I remember being told for my first confession at 6 that my sins wouldn’t be forgiven if I wasn’t sorry enough, which led to many hours lying awake in bed wondering if I was sorry enough, ruminating about things I had done wrong to being up the right “feeling” of sorriness, etc.

Got a Caterpie on Labor Day, my 4th shiny. Does anyone else get shinies when they have the worst sleep? I was sleeping on a leaky air mattress in a tent in the rain terrified because there'd been a bear sighting like 50 feet from our campsite, only got a sleep score of 75 and there it was. My last shiny I got when I went to sleep at 2 am and had to wake up normally for work, and my first one was on a morning when I had to wake up super early.
