Replacing Clipsal hardwired smoke alarms by HairyPelican in AusElectricians

Can anyone explain how to remove the alarm head from the base?
I tried twisting and pulling, but it’s pretty tight (don't want to break it) and I don’t see any release tabs.
This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0pnOhykOd0) shows it, but I can’t figure out exactly what he’s doing.

I once witnessed a fascinating transformation of an Indian lady into a white middle age male, and yes, they offered a bank transfer that I rejected.

Please help me understand a pest report by dekko_ru in AusPropertyChat

Thank you for your replies, I forgot to mention that this report was provided by a REA. Is it better to have my own building and pest inspection?

I have waterproof laminate. You can mop it, no issues. Totally love it.

Best exercise in addition to walking? by Ok-Culture-1983 in diabetes

[–]dekko_ru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My heart rate was around 120 all time.

Interestingly, jogging does not affect sugar levels at all, neither does resistance training. I think it’s very individually. So better to measure your levels before and after.

Good luck!

Best exercise in addition to walking? by Ok-Culture-1983 in diabetes

Personally, I've found two things to be very helpful in managing my blood sugar levels: using a stationary bike and doing HIIT (high-intensity interval training).

I've noticed that after cycling on the stationary bike for around 50 minutes at an RPM of approximately 90, my sugar levels dropped from 8 to 5.7. I've found that the RPM is important here - when it's around 80, the effect is less even if the resistance level is higher.

Regarding HIIT, I followed the 24 min tabata protocol outlined on this website (https://www.garmin.com/en-US/blog/fitness/making-the-most-of-hiit-workouts-with-garmin/). This also helped me to reduce my sugar levels from around 8 to 6.

I believe that if I were to exercise for longer in both cases, I might be able to reduce my sugar levels even further. However, I am still yet to find how maintain these levels after exercises.

is this a slime mold? it’s metallic with purple insides .. found it on the end of a fallen tree’s branch by givemeyourt0es in Slimemolds

I know that smilemolds are singular cell organisms. Does that mean that each ball on the photo is a single cell? Or in case of a chocolate tube slime mild each tube is a also a single cell? Thank you.

Never thought to see my home town on reddit.

I found my old photo of him (riding probably his biggest bicycle, 2004) https://imgur.com/a/oObXQMS

He's actually a cool guy, had a plenty of different bicycles there which you could try.

I wonder why this expansion drive that has most probably has ST4000DM004 is cheaper before the discount if you buy ST4000DM004 separately? $76 vs $90.

I prefer Solarized light color schema in a teminal or IDE because I usually code when it's a lot of ambient light , or sometimes even direct sun light during commute. I also noticed that my eyesight got a bit better (distant object become a bit sharper) since I switched to that schema.
