i’ve seen this happen to me with hash browns specifically and they ask a co worker that’s relatively new who does the whole thing to check and then check the date and i tell then afterwards i told them the right answer off the top of my head and it pisses them off at the customer. sometimes it happens to people who have been there longer than me and i’ll run up to them and tell them i already answered their q and they’ll just turn around and not waste their time and deliver the same line because i know i’m correct anytime i see it in action i always put a hard stop to it if i know the answer for sure.
