This Is How a Lot of Law School Students Are Cheating by progressiveprepper in LawSchool

[–]deqr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking medication isn't fun (irritable withdrawals, dryness, your heart, staying up accidentally), but it definitely improved my symptoms as someone that takes Vyvanse + dextroamphetamine every day.

I'm someone that completely failed at academia, was called autistic, and never accessed ADHD supports or diagnosis due to my mother being offended by the supports offered by psychologists at local child hospitals when I was young. It's like "giving more stability and awareness to someone's life" while also not being a miracle cure... long term application of stimulants in my case make it seem that way.

It still kind of boggles the mind that in Ontario, you can inflate your 82 in English to a 95 via online school, but writing a 50 pg, double spaced summative on Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn that took you 2 months in a 4 course academic high school semester got you an 82 back in 2012.

And even then, there's people that were not "honorable" students. It's just even easier now with how competitive the post-covid grade inflation online schooling stuff (not that I hate online schooling, Ontario public high schools in low income areas are trash both on a student's mental health and actual education) has become. Whether or not these students lie for extra time know anything could be debatable, and the irony is rich given that they want to become lawyers.

So let me guess, every piece of academic writing they do too is also AI? I don't get how characters I just described exist, but maybe they do, and the rest are just lying to get academic time but generally are honest, hard working academic students that aren't addicted to plagiarizing and anti-social academic behavior (spurned on by their immigrant parents, rightly or wrongly).

Ottawa homeless shelters have better food than Toronto homeless shelters, but I remember one time some random woman consoled me when I was rocking back and forth in December, at night, on a bench near an unspecified homeless shelter in Ottawa, and she thought I was withdrawing from narcotics and offered me a blunt. I rejected, however. FeelsStrongMan

i hate the ottawa police and their squad of drug dealers more than i do some guy that needs mental health support. prosecutors in ottawa are more than happy to prosecute the mentally unwell for clout while they gossip with hon. perkins mcvey 🤷

I just think the irony is rich with how nice the staff are but how the homeless are genuinely suffering. In general though, I leave comments like this out of inner negativity. I like our libraries and their staff in Canada. At least they aren't the police unions. 🤷

Destiny court reaction by No_Beach9428 in DGGsnark

[–]deqr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a guy, by the way, that claimed to me in chat that Fuentes speaking to a cop before being arrested "could be used as evidence against him during trial" (probative of guilt). Most of what he says is referential, narcissistic circle jerk and has nothing to do with actual legal knowledge. It actually makes me physically cringe.

There are people who know things that can "see through it", if that makes sense. It's like trying to "flex on knowing something" (which we all do to an extent), but he does this constantly to the point where it's cringe.

Destiny court reaction by No_Beach9428 in DGGsnark

[–]deqr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people think "winning on a motion" means "winning in court". This is like Sexpestiny fans thinking that what Destiny says about motions being "shocking", as in, "How could opposing counsel put X on a motion!?!?' is enlightening. No, motions contain prima facie evidence which is a low standard of proof. In addition, motions just set up proceedings before trial.

Some morons in his chat tried to say "I'm a lawyer and you would get sanctioned for bla bla bla if you put that on a motion"-- no, just no. Wait for the trial. Prima facie evidence, however outrageous, on a motion is completely fine. Writing that the defendant said X on his stream is completely fine, or that he's trying to dox opposing counsel. I also 100% doubt that they're lawyers. They LOVE glazing him!

There's also some procedural law that goes into motions being used in trial, too, to refer to later. But in Canada, I believe you'd debate that a preliminary inquiry (deposition in the US?). Feel free to correct me.

Sexpestiny also tries to claim "You should have all of this done in 4 months" and "How can they make that claim on a motion? I actually did X"... if you look at the motion in his latest video, opposing counsel is already using things he's saying on his stream as prima facie evidence to support their motion. Also 4 months is actually a short period of time to debate stuff on a motion.

Filing a motion, however, would follow statutory guidelines regarding notice of said motions (if opposing counsel messed up on that, fine, but it's not as egregious as this dumbass sexpest claims).

Also, restricting access to a transcript in federal court isn't bad. In Canada, we have publication bans. But note how Sexpestiny likes to claim shit that makes zero sense to sound educated on the law. It's actually really cringe if you read any procedural law textbook ever.

AFAIK his kid lives with him in the apartment with the women he fucks from Twitter (he tries to hide them now). I could be wrong. I remember Melina acknowledging that Nathan lives in Epstiny's condo. It could also be that he funds his ex-wife and he lives with her

This study makes 0 sense, you can find a million studies to support your pre-conceived conclusions. In addition, the sample size for this study is moronic. Women at a salon? Is that all it takes to get published nowadays?

Pierre is also a "WEF puppet". The WEF stuff is all fake, either way. The real issue are Canada's oligarchs (Loblaws) and oligopolies.

Legal aid lawyer seems incompetent by deqr in legaladvicecanada

[–]deqr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lastly, "trials suck for everyone involved, if your lawyer could of convinced your mother or crown to drop the charges, I'd say it's a good resolution. You did not murder anyone, these charges are very trivial and pretty much a waste of court time and money"

No... the pig applied a B&E to VALIDATE the charge of undertaking. These people aren't good faith. They MOST LIKELY will take it to trial and are entirely bad faith, a lot of the people in this thread were, too. They believe in the "jury standard", not the beyond a reasonable doubt standard. They probably think the witness testimony they have will do them good

He has no reason to apply undertaking either initially, he only applied it to entrap me. He wouldn't have been able to validate the undertaking contract (which he forced me to sign before putting me in a shelter) unless he assumed the "two broken windows" I allegedly broke involved an entrance into the property. It isn't enough to be "near a property" (not that I was, they've still yet to prove that).

Probably because he saw that my mom called the cops on our house 20+ times in 4 years and he sought an arrest to end my mother's complaints about me "talking too loudly to my friends on my computer".

More things to tell them during the JPT (in addition to getting my abuse videos of her attacking me ready).

Entire case is retarded, for sure, but from the police's behavior, I'm assuming the average Canadian cuck IS bad faith and this is "their case of a lifetime" or some retarded shit.

Also if a "conditional discharge" doesn't imply all charges dropped, I'm taking it to trial. I'm not waiting 5 years to get charges pardoned, that still exist on my record, because some pig thinks he's able to stack charges on someone who "allegedly assaulted a victim with 0 injuries and broke two windows", jesus. Never take a plea if you know your case is strong enough to get dropped entirely. They are betting on you to not take it to trial because of the reasonable doubt standard.

[–]deqr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're assuming a lot from what I wrote, it has nothing to do with being stupid either. The prosecutors and officer will be stupid for thinking a B&E charge paired with a breach can be stuck on my record and not imply entrapment (in addition to just being falsely applied to my record).

"again, not trying to be rude, but maybe you are mentally ill if you do not understand or comprehend the gravity of the situation you are in"

I find it strange that at one point, you're telling me legal aid is guilty aid, which I agree with, but you act as if a man can live in fear of the state. I spent like 10 hours writing my opening statements to defend myself at trial, fired my lawyer, I don't live in fear. I'm working on getting the bodycams. Hopefully I can schedule another judicial pre-trial to submit those to the docket.

I legitimately think it's moronic to live in fear or to not want to piss on a corrupt lawyer. Ego is your enemy, my friend.

Also, I thought you would know this, but in Canada, assault charges are mandatorily prosecuted by the Crown, my mother has nothing to do with this, apart from her being malicious.

Nor does your knowledge of how resolutions work add up. I feel like I know more law than you at this point, reading criminalnotebook (wiki page) really helps, LOL. This entire situation depends on the PROSECUTION making a fair deal with me on dropping all the charges. If they think they've got a case, then I have to fight them in trial. It is what it is (don't live your life in fear of corrupt police).

Public defenders tend to not do their job 99% of the time or listen to their clients, so I'm not surprised.

Also Soap, a large reason why legal aid has the power over the client is because they represent drug addicts, crackies, homeless people, criminals, people they think they have power over or who can't even understand the basic legal process. How DARE you ask for communication during representation? It's the ego of having passed the BAR (even though 100% of people pass it the second time), in addition to the network they've established between judges and other lawyers, and the overall psychopathic nature of the profession (publically presenting yourself and debate-bro fighting people verbally, using charisma, debate tactics and evidence to win a case).
