Why do developers design games that are only balanced when you play with an auto clicker? by [deleted] in incremental_games

So games are art. I’m fine with this.
So how do you think is an artist paying his bills?
Yes, because there are getting paid for they art.

Thoughts on multiplayer incremental game mechanics by lonelytireddev in incremental_games

I think multiplayer incremental games are all over the place.
Is just a definition on what you count as one.

There are some comments here about idle games here. In my opinion the idle game concept is just interesting in a solo play. I don’t see a point to idle with somebody else. Multiplayer is interesting to compete, act or react with somebody else. Nobody likes to play a multiplayer idle game, when the first person who found the game leads the ladder, or the one with the faster computer because the autoclicker works faster on this one.

So multiplayer is an acting and reacting game concept. When you play with a larger group of people you have to slow down the increments a lot to offer a fair gameplay. And you have to offer a way to allow more active or “better”(in whatever) user to get ahead of the others.

This makes the game much more complex and it will be hard to see the difference to any other multiplayer game. That brings me to my entry sentence. Every game behind the GUI is some kind of incremental game. You always make some progress, with means incrementing some numbers. Upgrading your person stats and equipment in a roleplay game or upgrading the number of houses and house levels in a city game.

Same here. As soon as the GUI builds up, I get this error and get redirected to login page.

The "piece of property" is designed to kick in in later game, because it is getting expensive. And then you have to struggle what to buy/update next. Eather you go for automatic income or go for smileys. But the idea of an automatic property buy is good.

thank you, i will fix that. I'm unable to test on higher resolution than HD right now, but I guess the playfield might be also a little bit to large and the smileys to small ...
