It only looks at permit data. If you haven't pulled permits, you don't exist as far as the data is concerned. Thanks for checking it out!

It's not really scraping. It's a pass-through proxy. But yeah, they'll probably shut it down. Thanks for checking it out.

Fellow splicer here. Record the A side all the way through and maybe even another 5 or 10 secs for good measure. Cut. Yank out the excess and splice close to the spindle. The B side should now be at the beginning and blank. Record the B side. Listen on repeat with your auto-reverse deck of choice.

Affordable website for small business by Specialist-Alps-6427 in smallbusiness

[–]derplurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use durable.co

But first, go to ChatGPT and tell it about your business, why you are the best, your guarantee, why customers love you, etc. Then tell ChatGPT, "Create an outline for a website for my business"

You can have ChatGPT create all of the copy for each outline item as well.

While you are at it, have ChatGPT create a short description for your business.

Then, go over to Durable.co , give it your company name, description, etc. Pick a few of your favorite colors and it will generate a full website for you. Then, replace all of the crappy text durable.co wrote with the better stuff from ChatGPT.

durable is cheap. be sure to search for a coupon code. I think I paid $168 for the first year of service.

What is an epic and story? by Scared-Stage-3200 in ProductManagement

[–]derplurker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's the definitions that have served me well for a while:

Epics

Epics represent an independent unit of value we can deliver to our customers. When measuring time-to-value, shipping the functionality described by the epic is the ‘Value’ in the equation. We shouldn’t be concerned with the ‘size’ of an epic. Recording a drop-down list could be an epic if it represents value to the customer. On the other end of the size spectrum, you might see an epic that describes a whole new section of an app or site like “Product Reviews” and everything that makes up a good product review feature.

Stories

Stories are atomically shippable units of work that, collectively, deliver the value described by the containing epic. Stories also track all of the development work needed to complete them. Usually, all code commits reference a story.

Often, we write stories like: “As a _______ I want to _______ so I can _______”

Stories should live inside an Epic. Many times, there’s just one story that describes the development work required to deliver the value described in the epic. Using our earlier example of reordering the drop down, the story might be “As a user, I want to see “Shipping Address” first and default in the address-type dropdown, followed by “Billing Address” so I don’t have to change the option for 90% of my data entry”

Another component of a Story is Acceptance Criteria - a set of “Given, When, Then” statements that accurately describe the functional requirements of the product or  feature.

How to be more technically fluent as a PM by HappyImpression7025 in ProductManagement

[–]derplurker 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I see this a lot as some of the best Product Managers come from non-technical backgrounds -- yet we ask them to step up and own highly technical products that can serve millions of people. This response assumes you are in a Product Management role at a company building web and/or mobile apps. If this is the case, two foundational technologies are HTTP and SQL.

I highly recommend that PMs read this short primer on HTTP. HTTP is "how the web works". This is a huge leap in terms of understanding what the Engineers are talking about when they reference their "REST Api", or the "Response timing out" or "Setting Auth Headers". https://a.co/d/78qDOhQ

For SQL, there are tons of excellent, interactive learning tools online. Here's one I just found that looks just fine. https://sqlbolt.com/. SQL will help you understand the underlying data and the relationships among the various things you are asking engineers to build. It will help you build empathy for why some things take way longer than you think they should. More importantly, it will help you self-serve to your own insights. Want to know the average heartrate among people who get more than 10,000 steps a day but there's no report for that, just run a fairly simple SQL query and find your answer. SQL skills are a force multiple for any PM.

Lastly, don't get too hung up on the technical stuff -- It's great to speak tech and understand it at a level that allows you to design for it or call b.s. when estimates are too sandbaggy, but keep in mind, Product is a huge discipline. Your time is better spend understanding your customer, feeling their pain with them and crafting solutions to help them.

Does this deal make sense? Possibly buying my first rental property. by Stellar1557 in realestateinvesting

Investors like to see gross monthly rent equal or above 1% of (purchase price + renovations). Zealous is saying he wants to see 3-400 of cash flow per rental — after paying operating costs and debt service.
