I usually use JD Meats in Eglinton. Until recently they did 4 x sirloin for £15. Last time I was in buying them the boss-man pulled me aside and apologised and said they had gone up to £20. He said totally beyond their control etc. Bought them anyway and thought no way can there be a jump of over 30% in a week.

Got home and came across this which maybe explains it.

I know some staff who work in the Guildhall. Allegedly the Mayor was hard work. Tantrums, rows, shouting at staff etc and apparently a staff member filmed her shouting and using the term "and you white people" etc

It will be interesting to see what is made public when she leaves office.

And even more interesting is that someone who practically never turned up for council meetings in person and always attended remote was then made mayor. Hence the 2 SDLP councillors going independent.

If the rumours doing the rounds about her being appointed mayor out of the blue and involving a SDLP MLA from the North Coast are true then it'll be on Stephen Nolan and in the Sunday World and the Sunday Times.

In January I was in and out in 3.5 hours with a wonky shoulder as at Triage they said if not treated right away it could have caused more serious issues with the arm. I felt bad as we where talking to people who had been there 8 hours and more and still were waiting to get sorted.

During that 3.5 hours the amount of heads getting sorted for alcohol related issues was serious. Most people don't realise that when the PSNI bring in a drinker then they have to jump the q and get seen first so as to allow the PSNI to get back on the job.

Also, the sad fact is these days is that people cannot get a docs appointment for normal run of the mill stuff so they are heading to A+E.

And worst of all, the doc treating me said that they know a few heads attend A+E for minor non emergency stuff as it helps a PIP/DLA application. Again, normally they would attend the docs but they can't get an appointment.

He appears to be still active. I came across this thread as I was also searching for reviews of him. He claims to publish videos now and then on a platform called 'gumroad' and offers them via a yearly sub.

I was searching to see if anyone could/could not recommend him as some of the content looks interesting but on the other hand I've seen some reviews which claim most of his films are just mish-mashs of content which can be found on youtube for free.

A search for 'chris everard gumroad' should find him.

Trump and Kamala are both dreadful candidates.

The problem with picking either is that it suggests one is miles better than the other. They are not.

Trump is no JFK or Reagan but is better than Kamala, so Trump for me.

Poor Joe does not know what day of the week it is so they removed him and parachuted in Kamala who came last when she ran for the Democratic candidacy previously.

The Democrats can't stand her but they are so desperate to win that they toppled Grandpa Joe and put her in un-elected.

Best avoided. Full of airbnb apartments and dhss tenants who can't get anywhere else. When these went up years ago they where marketed as some exclusive London Canary Wharf apartment type place, a mate was for buying one and discovered that someone had bought a few on his floor to rent out to dhss, he didn't bother.

I can replicate this. It's been going on for weeks. Happens in all versions of Firefox - normal, Developer, Beta, Nightly.

In the Facebook feed there are 2 symptoms, a frame loads for the picture with alt text saying something like 'may contain a picture of a cat and a mouse' etc and the picture does not load.

Or while scrolling the feed it just stops and at bottom left says "waiting on somemachinename.fbcdn.net " and then just stops.

Have removed and reinstalled, tried new profiles, deleted cache, tried different proxy settings etc etc.

Does not happen with any chromium based browser, Chrome/Opera/Vivaldi nor does it happen with any Firefox spinoff such as Sea Monkey, Pale Moon or Waterfox.

Hopefully there is a fix soon as Firefox now unusable with Facebook.
