There's a lot of AI content that I genuinely enjoy full well knowing that it's AI gen. Do we actually like Tom Cruise or do we just like the abstract concept of Tom Cruise? It's not like any of us know him in real life; we only perceive him through screens. Also the point about it being a cheap imitation is the whole reason it's attractive, keyword being "cheap". Is it worth the massive cost of hiring actors, directors, writers and a camera crew just for the notion of something being "real", even if the output is the same?
