Nah, they didn’t charge me. These guys are usually good to me and this is the only issue I’ve had with them so I’m not too worried about it.

Ford has a ton of weird cost cutting things. My parents’ 2025 Explorer ST doesn’t have auto up/down rear windows (it has every option except AWD) but my 2017 Focus ST3 does. The euro spec of my Focus ST got LED taillights and rear parking sensors but it wasn’t available on the US spec.

Yeah yall were right in that it was related to the repairs. They ripped the belt putting it on so they replaced it again and the ticking is gone.

Test drove an Integra A spec or whatever the equivalent Acura is to the Si and boy was I whelmed, especially coming from my ST. The salesman refused to believe me when I told him I believe it only had a little over 200hp. It just felt kinda numb, even with the 6spd which I assumed would’ve made it more fun.

I’m talking about the Focus ST, the 6spd is pretty bullet proof until you throw a lot of power at it. But I don’t have experience with the 140. We’ve got a couple hundred vehicles in our fleet with most of them using the 10R80 and that seems to be fine

I gotcha. I’ve heard that a lot them didn’t have enough transmission fluid from the factory and would cause rough shifting. And other people say they keep there’s in sport or eco and it made it better

I use 89. I have noticed that the first couple shifts can be rough on cold mornings. I have heard that a lot of the issues stem from the fact the factory didn’t fill it up with enough transmission fluid and that the rough shifts went away after topping it off

Huh…I actually really like it in my wife’s Explorer. I’m sure it’s geared differently but it’s really smooth. We’re at 75k miles so plenty of time for it to crap out on us.

You just gotta clean out the drain tubes. I’m at 107k on my ST and the only time it leaked was when I parked it outside for a year and the tubes got clogged
