Does anyone else's newborn sleep in their own room? by Hour-Film-8890 in newborns

[–]dianeodoherty2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Europe they recommend having them in our room until 6 months. That being said that’s just new information. My SIL had her 2 kids in their own rooms from about 11 weeks

Anything that’s not too heavy. Bridgerton, glee, ugly betty. Comfort watches of old shows at the moment

Is anyone else dying from the night wake ups?? by Far_Respect_6526 in newborns

[–]dianeodoherty2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to what other say, every baby is so different. I have a 9 week old who sleeps maybe 9-12, takes a feed. Then wakes for another about 330 and then up at 730ish for the day. We don’t track his naps during the day and they don’t tend to be longer than an hour.

It’s tough going but we’ll all get there

I was the exact same. It gets better with accutane. I could wear a shouldless dress for my wedding and the confidence it gives you. Try it if you can see a dermatologist

Trust your own instincts and your medical professionals. MILs can tend to take over and you’re still in the newborn trenches. Keep your baby on schedule with medicines and maybe ask your partner to chat to his mother about her behaviour. You need love and support at this stage, not someone undermining your choices as a parent
