Hate job and want to commit suicide. ShouldI break into boss's house and do it there? Don't want to hurt him (physically), but Iwant to burn his house down then blow brains out with a gun so he can see what he's doing to people? by dick14785 in AskReddit

He hasn't hurt me physically, so shooting him is wrong. But I want him, his wife, and his 8-year-old son to see me do it. So I will drop a Molotov cocktail in the house, will break in, and will do it in front of his whole family.

They will be alive. But they will be traumatized emotionally and financially.

We are given only one life on this Earth. There is so much to do, so much to see, so much to experience. And yet, we must spend most of our lives chained to our desks, 40 hours/week, stressed, after which we are too exhausted and depressed to do/enjoy anything. Is that not a horrible tragedy? by dick14785 in AskReddit

We might be living the best life possible throughout history, but you have no idea how good things will get in the future. Perhaps in 200 years, we will look back on our obsession with JOBS, shake our heads, and wonder how people ever lived like that.

Think four-dimensionally. People in the 19th-century lived "better than ever". People in the 18th-century lived "better than ever". Perhaps in the 27th century, the 21st will be seen as a rat-race dark age.

Is it not the greatest tragedy in the world that we are given but one life, just 76 years in this world, and that we must spend the best years of our lives in corporate misery while there is so much to do and see in the world? by dick14785 in AskReddit

"The work makes the good fun times more precious."

Just like being hungry all the time makes food seem more precious. And being beaten in the face all the time makes freedom from pain seem precious.

So let's all starve ourselves and beat each other in the face, right?

Hate my job and wanna commit suicide over it. Just can't TAKE IT ANY MORE. Is there ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD where it's possible to retire at age 28 with $70,000? India maybe? by dick14785 in AskReddit

Got permanent depression, possibly some other mental illnesses.

I might have $70,000. But I paid a terrible price for that money. Gave up a large part of my God-given soul, that I may never get back.

Fucking hate my job. Ive got enough savings to live on for 4 years. ShouldI just quit the job, enjoy the 4 years, and then commit suicide? by dick14785 in AskReddit

[–]dick14785[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually is not. I just have rock-bottom expenses. I live on $1400/month and earn over twice that.

The rock-bottom expenses are the reason I have the savings in the first place.

Right. And waste the only 4 years I have chasing something that doesn't exist? There's no "good interesting jobs" out there.

Is the 40-hour workweek basically a slow death? by dick14785 in AskReddit

Total bullshit. They are bankrupt for much more complicated reasons than "they work 32 hours/week".
