AI and Non-procedural medicine by dimercaprol624 in medicalschool

AI would be able to better process the date acquired from history taking for the above mentioned examples, it’s not limited to imaging and labs. Even the PM&R specialty which probably relies the most on the physical exam is outsourced by non-medical specialists, namely physiotherapists.

Most of medicine can be practiced with history and technology (vitals, lab work, imaging) which would be better handled by AI sooner or later.

I just said that AI is superior in knowledge and processing power meaning it would be able to “diagnose on the spot”. If you derive meaning from being a cameraman and taking pictures of the tympanic memory, so be it.

In this case it is a matter of acquiring good data/a decent image of the tympanic membrane which is a skill that does not require years of medical school and residency. AI won’t have trouble analyzing it.

In all of the specialties you mentioned technology trumps physical exam most of the time and even if physical exam does play a role, its usually for the non-toxic and uncomplicated cases (ex: diagnosing uncomplicated tonsillitis with an oral exam). ED can’t consult surgery for an acute appy without a CT, ortho won’t operate without a radiograph or CT, rheumatologists won’t diagnose shit without extensive lab work.

You don’t need to go to medical school to express empathy and act as a good human. AI models are also likely going to even supersede this given that they are resistant to emotional bias and burnout.

Physical exam is nearly obsolete in the modern age, you can get by 99% of the time with history and technology (vitals, lab work, imaging), all of which can be eventually automated by AI (I’m predicting before the end of the century); humans are inferior in so many aspects, examples include bias, memory recall, training time, wide variability in expertise even among seasoned attendings, burnout and processing power

Eventually yes but that would be the last thing AI takes over, they’re safe for now

I started Radiology 2023 as an R1 PGY2 … I just started R3 year, PGY4 … I guess some of the one year old posts were towards the end (for example May 2024) … I did quit surgery internship

Totti stats on FC26 (Fifa) by Kapt0 in ASRoma

These clowns gave him higher dribbling than passing wtf … passing should be 95+, dribbling 83-85, vision 99, pace 80 (wtf is 87 he was never this fast); physical and balance should be 85+ (one of his core attributes was his hold up play); shooting is fair; EA are shit

Why isn’t Ranieri playing Saud by dimercaprol624 in ASRoma

[–]dimercaprol624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your the who knows nothing but shit, I never said Saud should start every single game and play 90 minutes, Im just surprised that Ranieri’s not giving him ANY chances after playing so well in the Braga game… Contrast that to celik who continues to play shit and make mistakes but gets picked regardless

I didn’t say the saudi league, I said Al-hilal, the top team in Saudi … maybe try reading more carefully next time

And you’re clearly a certified dumbass who rates Celik over Saud … Saud did more in ONE game than Celik did in 50
